EXPLORING ABANDONED CAVE!! (HAUNTED)

14:07
WE SNUCK INTO AN ABANDONED CAVE! WHAT WE FOUND WAS SCARY! HAUNTED!! Today Stephen Sharer and Carter Sharer went on an adventure to North Carolina to go for a hike. The final destination for this hike was to find a huge waterfall slip and slide. On the way Carter noticed this huge rock alongside the trail. So Stephen and Carter went to explore. As they were walking around this rock they found an entrance that looked haunted but it lead to an underground cave. It was dark so you couldn’t see the end of this underground tunnel. Carter turned his flashlight on to get a better look. Then he started to climb down this abandoned tunnel that lead to a cave. He walked deeper and deeper into the tunnel until he reached the entrance of the cave. The cave opened up and was big enough to stand in. Stephen then climbed down the tunnel and knew it was haunted from the looks of it. The cave traveled two ways so Carter and Stephen went to explore where it went. The path began to get smaller and smaller and more haunted. They walked down the path to the end of Cave. Once they got to the end they walked back and tried another tunnel to explore. This path was a dead end too so they turned back. They tried to go back and find the tunnel to exit the cave but wasn’t sure which one it was. Stephen and Carter got lost trying to get out of the cave, they were now stuck in an abandoned cave. Carter tried to clime out through an opening but got stuck. Then Stephen screamed because he saw something move in the cave. It was super scary because they could not see what it was. Stephen and Carter both ran as fast as they could out of the abandoned cave to safety. It was super scary and Carter and Stephen were glad they gout out of the cave safely. Then Stephen and Carter found an awesome back yard style waterslide slip n slide! It was awesome! Coal, Steam, and The Industrial Revolution: Crash Course World History #32

Mongols Shirts and Crash Course Posters! http://store.dftba.com/collections/crashcourse In which John Green wraps up revolutions month with what is arguably the most revolutionary of modern revolutions, the Industrial Revolution. While very few leaders were beheaded in the course of this one, it changed the lives of more people more dramatically than any of the political revolutions we've discussed. So, why did the Industrial Revolution happen around 1750 in the United Kingdom? Coal. Easily accessible coal, it turns out. All this, plus you'll finally learn the difference between James Watt and Thomas Newcomen, and will never again be caught telling people that your blender has a 900 Newcomen motor. Baker City Prospecting Full Length Movie

01:50:21
https://www.patreon.com/mormo Brian Bolin teaches you all you need to know about prospecting for gold and gems in Baker County. In the event that you live on the North Eastern shore of the US in a zone that does not have characteristic gold stores, presumably the most obvious opportunity you need to search for gold in regions where the icy masses dumped their waste. All things considered, back to "some rubbish is other individuals' fortune," and that is the thing that we have with what the ice sheets dumped on us. It can allow you to experiment with the gold prospecting side interest close to your home before wandering off to a gold bearing district. In southwestern PA and Eastern Ohio we have a chance to make a go at searching for these frosty stores that are known not Fine Gold, Raw Diamonds and little Platinum. These are extremely fun and productive to discover. How could it have been able to it arrive? Well it truly did not have a decision. It was pushed with an inconceivable power from Canada and after that dumped in our terrace. Around there we were affected by no less than 3 primary chilly periods. The Wisconsian, Illinoian and the Kansan periods lived up to expectations and left us some fine gold to play with. A large portion of these 3 periods had various advances and retreats, so the maps will give a superior thought of where to look. The best place I have found to get great data and maps is from the US government. They have an incredible guide and data booklets accessible on there dad site. Make a point to check out while your there and download and print the books and maps that intrigue you. The Pennsylvania Glacial Deposit guide can be found at The main distinction in discovering the gold contrasted with regions that have characteristic gold stores is you will likely be managing littler rivers and streams so digging turns into a "do as well as can be expected the situation being what it is." In searching for the gold in the Glacial territories I have not discovered much in the dark mud, most is found in the region around an inch from the highest point of the mud. In searching for a decent spot while test panning, the dark sand is still the best pointer. The advantage to those Glaciers dumping their till on us is for those of us that call this home, we get the opportunity to search for gold without needing to keep running off to California or Alaska. In the event that you begin your gold prospecting enterprises with fine gold, you will turn into one of the best at recouping any sort of gold. When you can skillet the concentrate down and recoup the fine gold and Black attractive sand, simply envision how simple it will be for you when you get to a detect that has pieces that you can get with your fingers! -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Free Spooky Training! Heft initially created the American flag in 1958 as the school project during his junior year in high school. Heft scored a B- in his project but was promised by Stanley Pratt, his teacher, that his grade would be reconsidered if the United States Congress was to accept the design for the flag. Facts you should know about Angola

03:19
Angola used to be a Portuguese colony that today is a highly multiethnic nation. Its name comes from the word ngola, a title used by the Ndongo kings that reigned in the region. Angola is one of the largest producers of diamonds in the world. It’s also one of the largest African nations. You can now support this channel via Patreon, by accessing the link bellow. More information about the video content bellow: 1. The oil and diamond-rich country is currently rebuilding at full swing after suffering from civil war for 27 years since independence from Portugal in 1975. Now the country of 19 million is finally at peace and is going through a dramatic rebirth. 2. The capital city of Luanda is now one of the most expensive cities in the world. Forget Tokyo or Moscow—Luanda wins. The high prices can be put down to the massive infrastructural investment taking place in response to the relentless gross-domestic-product growth from mining operations. 3. Ruacana Falls, one of Africa’s most beautiful natural wonders is located on the border between Angola and Namibia. 4. Angola’s traditional music is the semba – Brazilian samba is believed to have originated in Angola, where it’s known as “semba”. The two are very similar. Angolan semba was danced to celebrate different occasions and is known as the music of the sea. 5. Angola’s national tree is the majestic Imbondeiro – There is one tree that is special to Angolan. There was a popular belief that God planted this tree, also known as “Baobab” upside down. The unusual looking Imbondeiro tree can be found growing all over the country. Their growth rate is determined by ground water or rainfall and their maximum age, which seems to be in the order of 1,500 years. 6. Angola is the only country in which the Critically Endangered giant sable antelope lives. The antelope is confined to central Angola, where it is primarily located in the Luando Reserve and Cangandala National Park. 7. The government of Angola requires religious groups to petition for legal status with the Ministries of Justice and Culture. To get legal status however they need to abide by the Law on Religion, passed in 2004, which requires that a group should have more than 100,000 members and be present in 12 of the 18 provinces. This has made it hard for the estimated 70 - 80,000 Muslims, mostly migrants from West Africa and Lebanon, to practice freely and the government - which has disputed claims of being anti-Islam - is known to have closed mosques, schools, or community centres. The Camp and the City: Territories of Extraction

01:18:56
Please join editors, Jeannette Sordi, Luis Valenzuela, and Felipe Vera for a discussion of their new book The Camp and the City: Territories of Extraction. They will be joined in a panel discussion with contributors, Maria Ignacia Arrasate, Sourav Kumar Biswas, and Agustina Gonzáles Cid. Urbanization metabolizes territories surrounding cities as well as territories that are located far beyond the centers themselves and provide the needed resources and goods. Landscapes of extraction are probably one of the most evident examples of this: whole regions are exploited for their resources to ensure the development of others. However, while it is becoming evident that these territories could be considered as part of the urbanization process itself, they are still very marginal in the agenda of urban designers, planners, regional administrators, and political institutions. Territories of extraction are not paid enough attention as places for living themselves – they are in a way the negative of cities: they are what ensures the development, prosperity, and consolidation of cities, but are themselves the emblem of deployment and precariousness. The Camp and the City book aims to articulate a discussion about territories of extraction in order to set up concepts and provide a general overview of their common challenges throughout different landscapes. Calama – the most important mining cluster in Chile and one of the most important hubs for copper extraction in the world – is presented as a case study in order to generate a more specific and evidence-based discussion, offering the ground for the development of a more projective critical view. The Camp and the City: Territories of Extraction is edited by Jeannette Sordi, Luis Valenzuela, Felipe Vera, with essays by Pablo Allard, Maria Ignacia Arrasate, Mariana Barrera, Sourav Kumar Biswas, Diane Davis, Agustina González Cid, Rania Goshn, El Hadi Jazairy, Rahul Mehrotra, Flavio Sciaraffia, Jeannette Sordi, Ricardo Truffello, Luis Valenzuela, Felipe Vera. This event is co-sponsored by the Department of Urban Planning and Design at the GSD and the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies.

Science Bulletins: Coal Mining Scars Appalachia

Mountaintop removal is a type of coal mining that is both environmentally and residentially destructive. Mining companies use dynamite and huge machines called draglines to flatten mountain summit to extract the valuable seams of coal inside. Mountaintop removal occurs most commonly in West Virginia and eastern Kentucky. The extent of the practice is clearly visible on satellite imagery, which is featured in this Bio Bulletin.

More information about the video content bellow: 1. Poland was the only European country which never officially collaborated with the Nazis at any level, and no Polish units fought alongside the Nazi army. Poland never officially surrendered to Germany, and the Polish Resistance movement in German-occupied Poland during World War II was the largest resistance movement in Europe. 2. Marie Curie (Manya Sklodowska) was born in Warsaw (Warszawa), Poland, on November 7, 1867. She moved to Paris in early 1880 and married Frenchman Pierre Curie in 1895. With her husband, she discovered the elements polonium (Po), named after her native Poland, in the summer of 1898 and, soon thereafter, radium (Ra). She is credited for coining the term “radioactivity”. Nicolaus Copernicus (Mikołaj Kopernik) was born in 1473 in Toruń (Thorn), Poland. he later wrote down in De revolutionibus orbium coelestium; its revolutionary contention was that the sun, not Earth, was the center of the planetary system. The work was published by church authorities in Nuremberg in 1543, the year Copernicus died. In October 1978, the Bishop of Kraków, Poland, Cardinal Karol Józef Wojtyla, became Pope John Paul II, the 264th head of the Roman Catholic Church on October 16, 1978 at 5:15 p.m. Frédéric François Chopin (Fryderyk Franciszek Szopen), is Poland’s most famous composer. Chopin was born in Żelazowa Wola, Poland, in 1810. 3. Geographically, Poland is not actually in Eastern Europe – it is in fact in the very centre of Europe. 4. Nearly 35% of the 60 million Poles live abroad and large Polish speaking communities can be found in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, Australia, Brazil and Argentina. Polish has the second largest number of speakers among the Slavic languages after Russian. 5. Poland has a desert: the Bledow Desert. It’s an oddity in such a lush countryside. In the 13th century, the forest here was felled to foster silver and lead mining. It revealed a hitherto hidden deep layer of sand, deposited by waters flowing from melting glaciers perhaps a century before. Humankind's destruction of native plant life, in league with the natural deposit of sand, created the desert. 6. Paradoxically, Warsaw’s Old Town is only 50 years old. During the Invasion of Poland (1939), much of the district was badly damaged by the German Luftwaffe. Immediately after the Warsaw Uprising (August–October 1944) what had been left standing was systematically blown up by the German Army. After World War II, the Old Town was meticulously rebuilt. 7. Some of the first shots fired during the WWII took place in Gdansk – Westerplatte. The first cannon shots of WW2 fell here from a German Battleship in the Baltic Sea. There is a monument there in honour of the Polish solders that stood for seven days against the German’s attack. Extreme Enduro technical trail in the Wasatch Mountains, Mineral Basin takes you some incredible sights and a lot of historical points. This is a good practice trail for technical riders. Very difficult train loose rock 4'' to 6'', steep climes, climes on rock faces, water crossing and wet loose rock. Mines are everywhere around these hills as well as wildlife. I've seen Moose, elk, porcupine, and deer are often seen in the area. In the heat of the summer, this is a great trail to cool off a little. In the fall, the mountains are on fire with all of the leaves changing color. How to Focus on the Topic of Conversation: Video 1/2 NLP Debating Skills

07:09
Debating Skills 101 In this video I am going to show you how to specify the topic of conversation and track the focus as it shifts using the NLP Hierarchy of Ideas model. Are we talking about apples or oranges? You might have noticed that some people keep shifting the topic, mismatching, using generalisations and counter examples, until the conversation moves onto another topic and nothing much is achieved? For example, my friend John told me about a serious argument he had with his best friend over a farming practice. As it turned out John was thinking about a town in Queensland while his friend was thinking of a town by the same name in Victoria. Literally they were on different parts of the map. In this video I am going to show you how to get on the same page and track a conversation such that you get the most value from it. We start by defining discussion and argument. A discussion is an earnest conversation in which there is the act of consideration and examination of a topic to gather information and explore solutions. An argument is a discussion like a debate in which the focus is on difference and disagreement is expressed. An emotional argument occurs when two people get locked into differences. We come to agreement only when both focus on sameness or agree to differ. What type of conversation are you going to have? The type of conversation that you have will depend upon the topic, the people and the context. For example, is the conversation going to be an interview, an interrogation, a coaching conversation, or a discussion with a friend or enemy? Who each person is - that is, their identity, status and face; the context of the conversation; the location of the conversation and the topic of the conversation will set a framework. What is the topic of the conversation? Whether it is a casual conversation with a friend or a serious discussion with a journalist one of you will initially define the topic and now I am going to show you how to track the topic using the Hierarchy of Ideas model that I learned from Tad James back in the 90’s. Hierarchy of Ideas Model What you do is build a grid framework in your mind which allows you to focus in on the details or step back and get the big picture. This is a bit like working with a jig saw puzzle. So rather than focusing in on one piece of the puzzle you put that piece into the frame of the bigger picture and see how it connects with all the other bits. As appropriate you can focus in on the specifics but always keeping in mind the bigger picture. And when someone mismatches, or uses a counter example you can still track the relationship between the ideas. So let’s leave it there. In the next video I will show you how to apply the hierarchy of ideas to religion and specifically to Islam. Together we can stop Islamisation. Columbus, de Gama, and Zheng He! 15th Century Mariners. Crash Course: World History #21

10:38
In which John Green teaches you about the beginning of the so-called Age of Discovery. You've probably heard of Christopher Columbus, who "discovered" America in 1492, but what about Vasco da Gama? How about Zheng He? Columbus gets a bad rap from many modern historians, but it turns out he was pretty important as far as the history of the world goes. That said, he wasn't the only pioneer plying the seas in the 1400s. In Portugal, Vasco da Gama was busy integrating Europe into the Indian Ocean Trade by sailing around Africa. Chinese admiral Zheng He was also traveling far and wide in the largest wooden ships ever built. Columbus, whether portrayed as hero or villain, is usually credited as the great sailor of the 15th century, but he definitely wasn't the only contender. What better way to settle this question than with a knock-down, drag-out, no holds barred, old-fashioned battle royal? We were going to make it a cage match, but welding is EXPENSIVE. Senior Loeb Scholar lecture: David Harvey

01:48:04
3/28/16 It is David Harvey’s contention that the production of space, especially the distribution and organization of the territory, constitutes a principal aspect of capitalist economies. His writings on this theme have contributed to the ongoing political debate on globalization and on the different spatial strategies associated to global processes. A foundation of Harvey’s intellectual project is his “close reading” and interpretation of Karl Marx’s Capital, which he has taught and read for decades and documented in his Companion to Marx’s Capital (2010). But Harvey’s work is distinguished by the way he has brought Marxism together with geography with productive results for each discipline. For instance, he has approached the overaccumulation of capital by way of its reflection in spatial expansion in order to demonstrate its causative role. His book Limits to Capital (1982), which traces this argument, is a mainstay of the contemporary understanding of capitalism’s perennial economic crises (among others are Ernest Mandel’s Late Capitalism (1972), Giovanni Arrighi’s Long 20th Century (1994) and Robert Brenner’s Economics of Global Turbulence (2006)). Among other ideas, Harvey is known for his critical interpretation of the ideas of Henri Lefebvre and his own formulation of the “right to the city.” His book Spaces of Hope (2000) explores a role for architecture in bridging between the human body and the uneven development that is characteristic of globalization. Asked to single out a favorite of Harvey’s books, Dean Mohsen Mostafavi refers to Harvey’s book Social Justice and the City (1973) as “an important articulation of the relationship between the city as a physical artifact and its social consequences. His writings have provided an acute analysis of our society and provide an indispensable framework for new forms of spatial imagination." David Harvey, Distinguished Professor of Anthropology & Geography at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY), is the 2015–2016 Senior Loeb Scholar.
