LINE Skis Chronic Cryptonite 2011 Ski

01:14
http://lineskis.com/skis/chronic-cryptonite The whole mountain is your terrain park. The Chronic has a firm powerful flex pattern for stomping the biggest jumps that also provides an ultra smooth ride when ripping all over the mountain. The versatile 92mm width will keep you quick on the hard pack with plenty of versatile to still duck into the trees when you want to switch it up. Lengths: 163, 173, 178, 183 Shape: 121-92-117 ...You be on dat Cryptonite! The art was done by Chow Martin using ink and charcoal on mylar to create this half bear, half human creature to reflect the raw power this ski wields. The stealth black on black emulates the ski's ability to sneak up on your friends, before blowing past them. view his art The concept came from high performance skiers asking for a ski with the versatility to spend as much time in the park as the rest of the mountain without sacrificing one performance for the other. The engineering started with determining the 92 waist width for mostly firm snow riding while still being able to float over crud and soft snow. We choose a stiffer flex pattern for stability on landings and at speed with a sidewall construction to maximize vibration dampening. We then dialed in a G-Cut geometry that would enable the ski to carve intuitively at any speed forward and backwards. There it is, a ski as versatile as you.

LINE Skis Afterbang 2010 Ski

04:19
http://lineskis.com/skis/afterbang THE MOST RESPECTED CONSTRUCTION IN ACTION SPORTS We slide across pavement, steel and wood. We jib benches, grind concrete ledges, and air over stairs & fences, air 70 gaps to solid ice landings. The more gnarly the terrain, the more risky the trick, the more satisfaction we get when stomping it. When we slam, we slam hard, but when we get back up off the stairs, the snow, the road, we try again, with only more determination. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. This is the mindset that fuels the progression of our sport and for us here at Line, the progression of our most innovative freestyle skis. Skateboarding, the greatest influence on this style of riding has just become the greatest influence on this ski construction. We threw away the core, the topsheet and the sidewalls, and replaced it all with a 7-ply Rock Maple veneer SKATE DECK™ construction that runs edge to edge, tip to tail. Just like a skateboard deck, the Rock Maple veneers provide uncompromised strength and resistance to shock throughout the entire ski like no other ski in the world. # NEW Skate Deck™ Construction Built like a skateboard deck # NEW 7 ply Maple veneer core Uncompromised strength and resistance to shock # NEW Butter Zones Moved the zones in toward the boot for more leverage and control # NEW Carbon Ollieband - 10 string Carbon Ollieband for more energy and pop GOOD STUFF! # 40% less plastic than a cap ski # 50% less plastic than a sidewall ski # 60% less wood waste Take a deep breath, think different, ride different, be different, and the world will never be the same. . . for the good of the sport. LINE Skis Sir Francis Bacon 2011 Ski

01:29
http://lineskis.com/skis/sir-francis-bacon DESIGNED BY ERIC POLLARD This is Eric's personal quiver of one. Plenty of width for the pow, tons of stability at speed, and the agility needed to use the entire mountain as his personal terrain park. NEW this year he's added Early Rise to the tip and tail for even better float in the pow while maintaining plenty of effective edge & camber to still rip the hard pack. Lengths: 162, 172, 182 Shape: 142-115-139 THE DEVELOPMENT STORY BY ERIC: The art on the Bacon is an acrylic on wood painting of a massive color wheel and a tree with roots growing below. I won't go into why I painted those, but believe me, it's deep. The concept was for the Sir Francis Bacon to ride well in all conditions, something I could take up any day and not be disappointed. The Engineering this year we added Early Rise in the tip and tail which dramatically helped it float without having to shift your weight. The early taper was critical in eliminating drag and hooking tips and tails in powder, as well as helping the tip and tail sit deeper in the pow (depending on which direction you are going). The bacon is the most versatile ski in my line, with a large waist, and a soft but very stable, symmetrical flex, making it easy to ride in the park, all over the mountain and in pow. Check out the Nimbus videos to get a better idea of the way these skis were designed to be ridden.

Lengths: 145, 155 Shape: 133-107-129 Like no other skier in the world, Eric creates every aspect of his skiing experience from his ski's one-of-a-kind dimensions, ... Read more Like no other skier in the world, Eric creates every aspect of his skiing experience from his ski's one-of-a-kind dimensions, to the unique flex pattern, innovative technologies and even the graphics. He then rides these works of art like no other skier can, documenting every switch pow slash with his film company aka crew of friends, Nimbus Independent. This is Eric's world, and these are the skis that empower him. THE DEVELOPMENT STORY BY ERIC: The art on this year's Pro I wanted to make simple, but colorful with highlighting brush strokes. The mountains and rising sun are recurring themes in a lot of my art, but this is the first time I have brought them all together in one graphic. The concept was simple, kids should have access to the same powder ski technology as adults, so why not scale down what we already know works great. The engineering started with defining how much we were going to scale it down, we tested some options and found that the best width was a 107mm waist, 2cm narrower than the one I ride. It gave plenty of float without sacrificing edge grip. Then we gave it the same Early Rise & Early taper technology in the tip and tail so it floats both directions without having to sit back. The flex we wanted to be as versatile as possible so it would still rip on groomed so it's similar to my Sir Francis Bacon. The Cap construction was choosen because it makes the ski so much lighter than sidewall and super affordable. I hope you like yours as much as I like mine.
