Mining occurs throughout Australia, but its direct impacts on biodiversity are relatively limited compared with other major land uses because the areas affected are generally small. Dr Alan Andersen talks about the main impacts of mining on biodiversity and how these can be appropriately managed through processes like strategic regional assessments, use of bioindicators in rehabilitation, and biodiversity offsets. Firstly guys, please hit SUBSCRIBE, for more vids on LOST CIVILIZATIONS, as well as other stuff like self help Now, we do certainly have a lost civilization in Australia. For a website on the Stone Circles at Derrinalum, Victoria, please see this link, http://mountelephant.weebly.com/stone-circles.html First of all I have no doubt about the former existence of a developed civilization in Victoria, this is just what he Aboriginals point out. They refer to something like a polity but I go a step further and say 'civilization'. I believe there is a lost civilization in Victoria, and the entire East Coast of Australia, was home to Polynesian kingdoms, or even kingdoms mixed with Polynesians as well as Americans, such as Peruvians, Easter Islanders, or others from Asia. There is in fact a lost 'Stonehenge' In Victoria, as well as in other parts of Australia! Here is the original newspaper article on the Mount Elephant circles! STONE CIRCLES, MOUNT ELEPHANT. In various regions are found rude stone monuments which are a puzzle to anti- antiquarians. When they were erected, and for what purpose, nobody can tell exactly, his- tory and legend being silent on the subject. All that can be fairly said is that they have been erected by the primitive inhabitants of the localities where they are found, and that they constitute the sole memorial they have left to future ages. Probably, they were, originally consecrated to religious uses; or, what is more probable still, they were tombs before they were temples, primitive religion having apparently grown out of, or having been at all events closely associated with, a certain form of worship addressed to the spirits of deceased ancestors. In that case it may be easily conjectured that the stones referred to are relics of larger, struc- tures, presenting in their complete form a mound-like appearance, and that the stones are merely what remain of the structures when the clay, timber aan other materials have dissapeared. The stones are often of immense size, and they are generally raised to form a circle. Stonehenge pre- sents a familiar example of such struc- tures, and similar stone circles are met with as far north as the Hebrides and as far south as Australia and the islands of the Pacific. Mr. Ormond, in a letter to Sir J. Y.Simpson, says that he has seen many, especially near the Mount Elephant Plains in Victoria. They are from ten to one hundred feet in diameter, and sometimes there is an inner circle. The stones com- posing these circles or circular areas vary in size and shape. Human bones have been dug out of mounds near the circles; the aborgines have no traditions respecting them. When asked about them they invari- ably deny all knowledge of their origin. When we note in connection with these stone circles the circular dances which seem to be common to almost all peoples as a religious ceremony, we cannot fail to see in these stone circles some mystic connection with primitive religion. The corrobories of Australia, wherein lighted boomerangs are whirled about, are graphically described, by Captain Stokes, and Sir John Lubbeck notices, and illustrates a similar dance as practised by natives of Virginia I now have a second channel. WHAT MANNER OF CREATURE DID THESE FOOTPRINTS BELONG TO?! These giant footprints appear to correlate to coal with the same date as the 250 Million Year Old Mass Extinction! Did Giant 'humanoids' cause this mass extinction by completely deforesting and strip-mining and polluting the planet into utter oblivion? If so we share the DNA of their feet, as well as their predilection for similar behaviours! Absolutely Incredible! To recap, the old video 7 months ago, suggesting Australia has been mined and deforested into oblivion, even 250 million years ago, has an update. An article from Scientific American in 1940 actually points out that loads of fossilised huge footprints from carboniferous coal of 250 million years ago have been located. The scientific world has been absolutely silent ever since! Was it even human? A giant kangaroo? What was it? It is certainly interesting! Again, what manner of creature did these belong to? I know it may not have been a human. For example, we got our teeth from a fish with human-like teeth. While very few leaders were beheaded in the course of this one, it changed the lives of more people more dramatically than any of the political revolutions we've discussed. So, why did the Industrial Revolution happen around 1750 in the United Kingdom? Coal. Easily accessible coal, it turns out. This remarkable award winning film traces the history of Australia’s Queensland coal miners and their Union from the darkest days of the 19th century to the daunting industrial, safety and community challenges driven by giant global corporations today. It is a story of struggle and survival, of courage and determination, of tragedy and triumph and of never giving up, even in the face of the most daunting challenges. The stories in the film are told with compelling honesty, humour and wit by miners and their communities who survive in one of the world’s most hazardous industries – coal mining. The goal of coal mining is to obtain coal from the ground. Coal is valued for its energy content, and, since the 1880s, has been widely used to generate electricity. Steel and cement industries use coal as a fuel for extraction of iron from iron ore and for cement production. In the United Kingdom and South Africa, a coal mine and its structures are a colliery. In Australia, "colliery" generally refers to an underground coal mine. In the United States "colliery" has historically been used to describe a coal mine operation, but the word today is not commonly used. Coal mining has had many developments over the recent years, from the early days of men tunneling, digging and manually extracting the coal on carts, to large open cut and long wall mines. Mining at this scale requires the use of draglines, trucks, conveyors, jacks and shearers The American share of world coal production remained steady at about 20 percent from 1980 to 2005, at about 1 billion short tons per year. The United States was ranked as the 2nd coal producing country in the world in 2010, and possesses the largest coal reserves in the world. In 2008 then-President George W. Bush stated that coal was the most reliable source of electricity. However, in 2011 President Barack Obama said that the US should rely more on "clean" sources of energy that emit lower or no carbon dioxide pollution. As of 2013, while domestic coal consumption for electric power was being displaced by natural gas, exports were increasing. US coal production increasingly comes from strip mines in the western United States, such as from the Powder River Basin in Wyoming and Montana. Coal has come under continued price pressure from natural gas and renewable energy sources, which has resulted in a rapid decline of coal in the U.S. and several notable bankruptcies including Peabody Energy. On April 13, 2016 it reported, its revenue tumbled 17 percent as coal price fell and lost 2 billion dollars on the previous year. It then filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on April 13, 2016. The Harvard Business Review discussed retraining coal workers for solar photovoltaic employment because of the rapid rise in U.S. solar jobs. A recent study indicated that this was technically possible and would account for only 5% of the industrial revenue from a single year to provide coal workers with job security in the energy industry as whole. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coal_mining

The 31st of July 1902 was the worst day in Mount Kembla's and Kembla Height's history, 95 of its men and boys were killed in the Mt Kembla Coal Mine Disaster along with Wollongong man Major Henry Osborne MacCabe a rescuer. Almost every house in Kembla Heights suffered the loss of a father, brother, husband or son. In some homes fathers and sons died together, in one home four brothers never came home. The grief was inescapable. The sad and terrible tragedy is marked to this day by headstones in local cemeteries, all with the same date, 31st of July 1902. This short film was the first film my sister Romina and I made together. In 2008 we wanted to commemorate the 106th anniversary of the Mt Kembla mine disaster with something emotionally moving, something that would put the viewer in the place of those left behind, giving them an opportunity to internalise the tragedy. When we read history, we read it from a safe distance; we can protect our emotions and detach ourselves from the trauma. Film and particularly sound in this case, provides a way to bypass the analytical brain and reach the emotions. With a budget of $0.00, I research all I could on the Mt Kembla coal mine disaster. Stuart Piggin and Henry Lee’s 1992 book ‘The Mt Kembla Disaster’ was my textbook scoured for any mention of sounds and sights mentioned in newspaper reports of the time. My step-father Graham Wade assisted with script writing, structure and review (sadly it was the last creative project we did with him, he passed away in 2009). We borrowed a camera and filmed over a week end. We didn't have a horse or a coal mine tunnel to film in, but we improvised making the camera the horse and a dark night the tunnel. Then came the long process of editing, creating and adding a moving soundscape and just the right music with Miffy Ryan on violin and Jonny Spillane on the tin whistle. Romina described it as poetry with sound. You'll need good speakers to hear all the subtle sounds. No words are spoken, yet you are carried away with the story. The film has been on display at the Mt Kembla Heritage Centre ever since and now for the first time, to commemorate the 114th anniversary of the disaster; we've made it available on-line. We hope you enjoy it. https://mocomi.com/ presents : How is Coal Formed? Millions of years ago, a large number of plants and ferns grew on Earth. These plants and ferns died in swamps, around riverbanks and got covered with soil and mud and slowly sank into the ground. As the years passed, the Earth’s heat and the weight of the ground changed these dead plants into coal. To extract coal, it needs to be dug out. Coal is usually found in layers, or seams underground. ( http://wakeup2thelies.com ) highlight/clip from Insiders 26/June/2011 on ABC Bob Brown wants the carbon tax to end the coal industry goodbye jobs and money with no change to the worlds temperature . BARRIE CASSIDY: But when you say negligible impact do you also say then that no coal mines will closed? BOB BROWN: I would expect that in the future we are going to see some of the most polluting enterprises in the country have a struggle. That's the nature. BARRIE CASSIDY: And how quickly after the introduction of the tax? BOB BROWN: Well, we're still negotiating a scheme. BARRIE CASSIDY: But it could close down some of these mines overnight? BOB BROWN: I would not figure that in because they are just so highly profitable. But that has to be the outcome. You know the coal industry has to be replaced by renewables. THE REMARKABLE STORY OF A WORKER REBELLION THAT MADE INTERNATIONAL HISTORY. An extraordinary film that captures the Australian spirit of mateship and determination. Hidden beneath the remote Nymboida Valley in Northern New South Wales, a tough band of local men laboured in the dark and dangerous tunnels of Australia's most primitive coal mine. Faced with the sack in 1975, these men staged a daring worker rebellion. Forged in solidarity and mateship, it was a rebellion that would be tested by doubt and disaster - and ultimately bring about a victory of international significance. narrator WILLIAM McINNES director JEFF BIRD executive producer PADDY GORMAN producers DIANE MICHAEL & KERRY HERMAN editor MARK ATKIN ASE writers JEFF BIRD & PADDY GORMAN cinematography SIMON SMITH original music & sound JOHN ROY Developed and produced by Red Cedar Productions Pty Ltd for the Mineworkers Trust Copyright 2010 Mineworkers Trust

The inside story of the low cost airlines is a tale of big characters and big money. Ryanair's Michael O'Leary and EasyJet's Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou opened up new frontiers in the aviation industry as their airlines offered cheap flights to a vast range of popular and alternative destinations. As the cost of flying keeps increasing, how much further can these companies grow? Stelios, EasyJet's biggest shareholder, is trying to halt its expansion, while O'Leary has just placed a massive order for new planes. This documentary tells the incredible true story of how low cost flight was born, shining a light on the main players' history, their ethos, their business strategy and their outlandish publicity stunts. Seminar by Steven Austin Ph.D. Seattle Creation Conference, October 2009 Mukilteo Foursquare Church, Mukilteo WA. Description: How did the catastrophic sedimentary and tectonic processes associated with the global flood form the world we see? Catastrophic plate tectonics was the theory devised by creationists 150 years ago to explain the geology of continents and ocean basins. Lately, creationists have modeled the ocean-floor upheaval that initiated the flood, subducted the pre-flood ocean floor, and propelled the oceans over the continents. Subduction of the pre-flood ocean floor moved continents into their present positions, and enlarged and deepened ocean basins. Major mountain ranges are the product of plate collisions. Left over heat and global cooling following the flood created the rapid post-flood ice age and Earth's modern climate. About the Speaker: Dr. Steven A. Austin is a field research geologist with a Ph.D. from Penn State University in sedimentary geology. He is "Senior Research Scientist" with Institute for Creation Research in Dallas, Texas (http://www.icr.org). He has performed geologic research on six of the seven continents of the world. His research adventures have taken him by helicopter into the crater of Mount St. Helens volcano, by bush plane onto glaciers in the high mountains of Alaska, by raft through the entire Grand Canyon, on horseback into the high Sierra, by elevator into the world's deepest coal mines, by SCUBA onto the Great Barrier Reef of Australia, by rail into the backcountry of Korea, by foot onto barren plateaus of southern Argentina, and by four-wheel drive into remote desert areas of Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. He is the author of three books, three videos, one computer software package, and more than thirty technical geology papers. Dr. Austin's field research within Grand Canyon includes over 400 nights camped out below the Canyon's rim. He has launched 22 raft trips within Grand Canyon. He has explored very remote areas of Grand Canyon by mule, helicopter and ATV. His book "Grand Canyon: Monument to Catastrophe" and his DVD "Grand Canyon: Monument to the Flood" summarize his investigations. He has over ten technical papers on Grand Canyon. Subjects of his technical publications on Grand Canyon include lava dams, breached dams, fossils, limestones, sandstones, basalts, diabase sills and radioisotope dating. He is widely known for his discovery of the regionally extensive mass-kill and burial bed within the Redwall Limestone about 2000 feet below the Canyon's rim. _________________________________________________________________ This seminar was recorded during our 2009 Seattle Creation Conference Bothell Washington at the Mukilteo Foursquare Church, Mukilteo WA. From Shamsuddin Shaik CEO Sindh Engro Coal Mining company They will make Pakistan Proud For us working at Sindh-Engro project at Thar, it was important that we hire maximum Tharis. Today our local workforce includes almost 75% Tharis, amongst them are engineers, skilled workers, drivers and many unskilled workers. Then it was also important that we also hire females especially from Thar. After lots of deliberation, considering the resilience and hard working nature of Thari females, we have decided to offer employment to them as mine dumper drivers. If man can do this job surely Thari females can do so too. We find such examples in Australia & USA only. Not even in India or China. Here is a small video on this subject.

"Lots of diagrammatic animation. Anthracite coal mining. Underground mining shots." Silent http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthracite Anthracite... is a hard, compact variety of mineral coal that has a high luster. It has the highest carbon content, the fewest impurities, and the highest calorific content of all types of coals, which also include bituminous coal and lignite. Anthracite is the most metamorphosed type of coal (but still represents low-grade metamorphism), in which the carbon content is between 92.1% and 98%... Anthracite ignites with difficulty and burns with a short, blue, and smokeless flame. Anthracite is categorized into standard grade, which is used mainly in power generation, and high grade (HG) and ultra high grade (UHG), the principal uses of which are in the metallurgy sector. Anthracite accounts for about 1% of global coal reserves, and is mined in only a few countries around the world. China accounts for the lion's share of production; other producers are Russia, Ukraine, North Korea, Vietnam, the UK, Australia and the US. Total production in 2010 was 670 million tons... Terminology Other terms which refer to anthracite are black coal, hard coal, stone coal (not to be confused with the German Steinkohle or Dutch steenkool which are broader terms meaning all varieties of coal of a stonelike hardness and appearance, like bituminous coal and often anthracite as well, as opposed to lignite, which is softer), blind coal (in Scotland), Kilkenny coal (in Ireland), crow coal (or craw coal from its shiny black appearance), and black diamond. "Blue Coal" is the term for a once-popular and trademarked brand... Anthracite is similar in appearance to the mineraloid jet and is sometimes used as a jet imitation. Anthracite differs from ordinary bituminous coal by its greater hardness, its higher relative density of 1.3--1.4, and lustre, which is often semi-metallic with a mildly brown reflection. It contains a high percentage of fixed carbon and a low percentage of volatile matter... The moisture content of fresh-mined anthracite generally is less than 15 percent. The heat content of anthracite ranges from 22 to 28 million Btu per short ton (26 to 33 MJ/kg) on a moist, mineral-matter-free basis... Anthracite may be considered to be a transition stage between ordinary bituminous and graphite, produced by the more or less complete elimination of the volatile constituents of the former... History of mining and use In southwest Wales, anthracite has been burned as a domestic fuel since at least medieval times. It was mined near Saundersfoot. In the United States, anthracite coal history began in 1790 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, with the discovery of coal made by the hunter Necho Allen in what is now known as the Coal Region... By 1795, an anthracite-fired iron furnace had been built on the Schuylkill River... In spring 1808, John and Abijah Smith shipped the first commercially mined load of anthracite down the Susquehanna River from Plymouth, Pennsylvania, marking the birth of commercial anthracite mining in the United States. From that first mine, production rose to an all-time high of over 100 million tons in 1917. From the late 19th century until the 1950s, anthracite was the most popular fuel for heating homes and other buildings in the northern United States... Many large public buildings, such as schools, were heated with anthracite-burning furnaces through the 1980s... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coal_mining The goal of coal mining is to obtain coal from the ground. Coal is valued for its energy content, and, since the 1880s, has been widely used to generate electricity. Steel and cement industries use coal as a fuel for extraction of iron from iron ore and for cement production. In the United States, United Kingdom, and South Africa, a coal mine and its structures are a colliery... Coal mining has had a lot of developments over the recent years, from the early days of men tunneling, digging and manually extracting the coal on carts to large open cut and long wall mines. Mining at this scale requires the use of draglines, trucks, conveyor, jacks and shearers...

Out of Place Ancient Discoveries That Show History is Wrong | Alien Documentary Films 2017 From time to time, unusual artifacts are found in strange places. Some of these items are “problematic” to the accepted teaching of the day that is indoctrinating students that the world is billions and billions of years old and the result of natural phenomenon . . . For example, how do coal miners find man-made artifacts in coal veins buried deeply below the earth’s surface? This video demostrates that this has been done again and again: skeletons of modern men, fossilized human footprints and human artifacts in the same layer with dinosaurs; Native American petroglyphs of dinosaurs; Peruvian and Mexican dinosaur artifacts. This is crucial, exciting evidence that you should see for yourself. Subscribe & More Videos: https://goo.gl/JLfiJN Thank for watching, Please Like Share And SUBSCRIBE!!! #

JAKARTA - PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO) has confirmed to complete the acquisition of Kestrel Coal Mine in Australia, and prepare the coal volume production for 2019. David Tendian, Director and Chief Financial Officer of PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO) stated the contribution of Kestrel to the Adaro sales revenue has not been significant this year because its acquisition is still new and its product contribution will be four months remaining in 2019. "We can not give the guidance (the contribution) because we just got the asset," he said in Jakarta. According to him, the Kestrel Asset is owned by the unincorporated company that have rights to operate Kestrel Mining, with about 80% of its ownership split for EMR Capital 52% and Adaro 48%. However, EMR Capital Ltd and Adaro agree to operate the coal mining in 50-50. (LK)
