MINING JOBS TV Episode 3: Unskillled & Entry Level Mining Jobs Brought to you by www.miningresumes.com - Kick-start your mining career today and email us at [email protected] or call Mining Resumes on 1300 737 863 Welcome to Episode 3 of Mining Jobs TV. Hi my name is Matt and I will be speaking to you today about unskilled and entry level jobs in the Australian mining industry. Mining Jobs TV is a FREE online TV channel presenting regular episodes where we will discuss mining jobs and tips that will help you to secure a job in the industry. You may have probably heard the stories about a friend of a friend who is earning over $100,000 a year on a mine somewhere in Western Australia or Queensland and wondered how you could get a mining job too. Entry level or unskilled jobs, like trade assistants or plant operators are hard to get now as every man and his dog are applying for them. The best way to get these jobs would be to move out to the little mining towns and live there and register with all the labour hire companies, there are hundreds of them. Trades people like fitters, welders, boilermakers and electricians still have a fairly good chance of picking up work on mining sites. If you don't have a trade, doing a rigging or scaffolding course would give you a good chance at getting a job, the courses are only about 4 weeks long, but they are fairly expensive. Other unskilled or basic jobs available include cleaners, laundry workers and kitchen hands which is not difficult if you have hospitality training and experience. Talking to people who are currently working on mining sites can be a big help, especially if you have no previous experience or qualifications. It would be even better if you could get in contact with expats from your own country who are working on mining sites. They can let you know who to call and what you need to do. If you are inexperienced and unqualified you need to be fit and ready for physical labour. The work will be very repetitive and routine based with long 12 hour days, so you really need to be mentally prepared, as well as physically. Some mines will have a very high turnover of workers. This is because many people go to work on the mines not knowing what to expect. Because there can be such a high turnover, you may not start earning big money straight away, although your wages won't be small either. Once you've proved yourself to be a reliable worker, your wages should increase. Most mining companies will run police checks, as well as drug and alcohol tests. Even though there are wet mess areas on-site where workers can unwind and drink alcohol, they do have to drink in moderation and be fit-for-work before their shift starts Shutdowns are exactly what the name suggests. Every now and then mining sites need to shut down for upgrades, maintenance or repairs and they usually hire people temporarily to work during shut downs. A lot of the work is unskilled and doesn't last very long, so it's great for backpackers who want to keep on travelling and don't want to make a full-time commitment. It's also a great way to get your foot in the door and gain valuable on-site experience. To do certain mining jobs you will need to get licences and training, or 'tickets' as they are more commonly known. There are lots of different types of tickets depending on what type of work you're going to do. Some tickets can be very expensive and mines in different states require different tickets, so you really need to do your research before you start spending money on courses. Don't think that just because you're female that the mining companies and recruiters won't consider you. The mining industry in Australia is becoming increasingly gender neutral. It's not just cooking and cleaning jobs either on offer for women either; more and more women are working on Australian mining sites, and in some cases, companies even prefer women for certain jobs. For example, a popular job for women on mining sites is driving a dump truck because research has shown that women are easier on the multi-million dollar equipment yet still get the job done. It's most important to ensure you have the resume professionally worded and designed to stand out from your competitors. We highly recommended Mining Resumes to prepare your resume as they are the industry leaders in resume preparation for clients seeking jobs in the mining and oil & gas industry. They can be contacted via phone on 1300 RESUME or have a look at their website miningresumes.com with package details and samples browse that demonstrate their quality and experience. World's Biggest Oil Platform Rigs 2017

05:24
Biggest Oil Platform Rigs in the World as of 2017 As oceans swell around them, some of the world's tallest manmade structures live in water, not on land. There's not a whole lot of variety when it comes to this manmade mammoths of the sea. Most of theses mega-builds draw oil from the depths, the only purpose as yet discovered that's lucrative enough to pay for their out-sized cost and complicated engineering. One more thing they have in common is that they all can wow with impressive size. We look at seven of the most intense and impressive offshore structures across the globe. [for text and creatives, http://loloha.com/biggest-oil-platform-rigs-in-the-world-as-of-2017/] Berkut While the Berkut oil platform toils in near anonymity in Russia's Far East, it does so with a heft unlike any other rig. At 200000 tons, the Bekut holds the record for the biggest in the world, above water. It can work under its own power down to minus-47 degrees Fahrenheit, withstand chunks of floating ice up to six feet thick and shake off waves up to 60 feet high. Stones While Berkut may prove the heftiest above the water, Stones, opened in September 2016 and operated by Shell, goes the deepest of any offshore structure, reaching a staggering 9,500 feet underwater. Located in the Gulf of Mexico, the Stones above-water structure—significantly more boat-like than your average oil rig—was built in Singapore before making the cross-ocean trip to its current location. There, it ties to two wells, with plans to expand to six over time. Stones uses a flexible "steel lazy wave riser" to carry oil and gas to the top, with the bend in the piping absorbing the motion of the structure. Perdido Until Stones opened just months ago, Perdido—also located in the Gulf of Mexico and operated by Shell—was the deepest of all the offshore structures, dropping its roots a dizzying 8000 feet (one and a half miles) underwater. Built in Finland before making its trek to about 200 miles south of Galveston, Texas, the main structure—which sits mostly underwater—stretches about 875 feet, about the same height as the Eiffel Tower. Olympus, or Mars B Weighing 120000 tons—more than 300 Boeing 747 jets—the 2014 built Olympus Mars B development in the Gulf of Mexico sits in 3,100 feet of water. From the base of the hull to the top of the derrick, Olympus is 406 feet tall and has a combined deck area of 342000 square feet, taller and with more floor area than the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. Troll A The 1,548 foot tall Troll A platform off the west coast of Norway includes 1,210 feet of structure below the water's surface. Along with impressive height, when the platform moved over land into the North Sea in 1996 in a seven-day process, it became the largest object to ever be moved by man across the earth. Petronius If you're looking for tall oil rigs, look no further than the Gulf of Mexico where you'll find the Chevron-operated Petronius. The platform's piled tower design gives the whole structure a height of 2001 feet, but with only 246 feet visible above water. The 43000 ton structure hovers above the seabed which lays 1754 feet below, and the underwater structure can sway in excess of two percent of its height. Hibernia The world's first iceberg-resistant gravity-based structure, the Hibernia platform includes a 41000 ton topside facility mounted on a 660000 ton gravity base structure, which literally sits on the seabed. The largest offshore platform in Canada, the Hibernia can withstand a six-million-ton iceberg, and has an iceberg management system that works to detect the movements of incoming ice and alter its path away from the structure. Baldplate Located off the coast of Louisiana, Baldplate was the first ever free-standing offshore compliant tower. Designed by Hudson Engineering in Houston, Texas, Baldplate stands in an impressive 1,650 feet of water. Its production peak was reached in 1999. Blue Whale One China’s homemade deep-sea drilling platform. China’s sixth-generation homemade deep-sea semi-submersible drilling platform has successfully completed its deep-sea trial, local media reported, marking a further improvement in China’s capability of manufacturing high-end deep-water drilling rigs. With a length of 104.5 meters, a width of 70.5 meters and a height of 105.8 meters, the platform is able to operate in water depths up to 1500 meters and drill as deep as 9144 meters. It is so far the world’s most advanced drilling platform.

Top 10 Highest Oil Producing Countries in the World 2017

04:06
Top 10 Oil Producing Countries in the World 2017 This is a list of countries by oil production, as compiled from the U.S. Energy Information Administration database for calendar year 2016, tabulating all countries on a comparable best-estimate basis. Compared with shorter-term data, the full-year figures are less prone to distortion from periodic maintenance shutdowns and other seasonal cycles. The volumes in the table represent crude oil and lease condensate, the hydrocarbon liquids collected at or near the wellhead. The volumes in the table do not include biofuel. They also do not include the increase in liquid volumes during oil refining ("refinery gain"), or liquids separated from natural gas in gas processing plants (natural gas liquids).[1] Under this definition, total world oil production in 2016 averaged 80,622,000 barrels per day. Approximately 68% came from the top ten countries, and an overlapping 44% came from the fourteen current OPEC members, highlighted with blue shading in the table below. For many years, the top three producers have been (alphabetically) Russia, Saudi Arabia, and the United States. Each of these countries experienced major production declines at different times in the past, but since 2014 all three have been producing near their peak rates of 9 to 11 million barrels per day. 1 Russia 10,551,497 2 Saudi Arabia (OPEC) 10,460,710 3 United States 8,875,817 4 Iraq (OPEC) 4,451,516 5 Iran (OPEC) 3,990,956 6 China 3,980,650 7 Canada 3,662,694 8 United Arab Emirates (OPEC) 3,106,077 9 Kuwait (OPEC) 2,923,825 10 Brazil 2,515,459 I hope you will like video, if you do hit that Like button and dont forget to Comment and Subscribe. How to Find Oil on Your Land

01:51
Watch more How to Make Money Fast videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/421398-How-to-Find-Oil-on-Your-Land Initial searches for oil on land usually require the skills of geologists and geophysicists. These searches are often conducted by small exploration companies called wildcats. Step 1: Look for surface indications of oil Look for obvious signs of oil on the surface of your land. Tip Surface indications might include oil seeps or petroleum residue in soil samples. Step 2: Look for correlations Look for correlations on your land with the sites of other wells, matching fossils, rock properties, and electrical and radioactivity data. These correlations may predict where oil-bearing strata begin on your property. Step 3: Study gravitational variations Study variations in the earth's gravitational field on your land. If very light oil-bearing rocks are found near the surface, the gravitational force they exert will be less than that for heavy rocks. Step 4: Study the magnetic properties Study the magnetic properties of the underlying rocks on the property. Most rocks that contain oil are non-magnetic. Step 5: Study sound transmission Study the way sound travels through the earth on your land. The time it takes sound to travel through underlying rocks is characteristic of the types of rocks involved. Tip Don't forget to acquire the mineral rights on your land if you have not done so already. Doing so will ensure that if you find oil, it's legally yours. Step 6: Drill a small test well Drill a small test well if the results of your studies are promising. Now you can sell your oil-rich land and move to Beverly Hills. Did You Know? John D. Rockefeller founded the Standard Oil Company in 1870, the country's first oil company.

What is INDUSTRIAL GAS? What does INDUSTRIAL GAS mean? INDUSTRIAL GAS meaning & explanation

02:34
What is INDUSTRIAL GAS? What does INDUSTRIAL GAS mean? INDUSTRIAL GAS meaning & explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. Industrial gases are gaseous materials that are manufactured for use in Industry. The principal gases provided are nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, argon, hydrogen, helium and acetylene; although a huge variety of gases and mixtures are available in gas cylinders. The industry producing these gases is known as the industrial gases industry, which is seen as also encompassing the supply of equipment and technology to produce and use the gases. Their production is a part of the wider chemical Industry (where industrial gases are often seen as "speciality chemicals"). Industrial gases are used in a wide range of industries, which include oil and gas, petrochemicals, chemicals, power, mining, steelmaking, metals, environmental protection, medicine, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, food, water, fertilizers, nuclear power, electronics and aerospace. Industrial gas is sold to other industrial enterprises; typically comprising large orders to corporate industrial clients, covering a size range from building a process facility or pipeline down to cylinder gas supply. Some trade scale business is done, typically through tied local agents who are supplied wholesale. This business covers the sale or hire of gas cylinders and associated equipment to tradesmen and occasionally the general public. This includes products such as balloon helium , dispensing gases for beer kegs, welding gases and welding equipment, LPG and medical oxygen. Retail sales of small scale gas supply are not confined to just the industrial gas companies or their agents. A wide variety of hand-carried small gas containers, which may be called cylinders, bottles, cartridges, capsules or canisters are available to supply LPG, butane, propane, carbon dioxide or nitrous oxide. Examples are whippets, powerlets, campingaz and sodastream.

Methane & Exposure Concerns

03:53
Methane (CH4) is a colorless, odorless and extremely flammable gas that can be explosive when mixed with air. It is a primary component of natural gas and is a major greenhouse gas. It is used to make ammonia, formaldehyde, hydrogen and methanol. According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine, human-related sources of methane include emissions from burning fossil fuels (such as coal, gasoline, natural gas and oil). These emissions can come from vehicles, fuel-burning equipment, operations on oil and gas fields, the processing, storage, and transport of natural gas, and the generation of electricity at coal-fired power plants. Hydraulic fracturing can also emit methane and methane is released from coal deposits during underground and surface mining. Other sources of methane include the decomposition of waste in open dumps and landfills. Methane can be emitted from the digestive processes of domesticated livestock (such as cattle, goats and sheep, and from agricultural feeding operations), be produced during the decomposition of animal waste and be released through liquid manure management systems (such as lagoons and holding tanks). It can also be produced when manure is deposited on crop fields or pastures as fertilizer. Processes during wastewater treatment can emit methane, as can some of the sludge produced. People are exposed to low levels of methane by breathing outdoor air. Those living by or working in an oil or gas field, coal mine, abandoned mine, farm, landfill, wastewater treatment plant, coal-fired power plant, hydraulic fracturing operation or a facility that uses methane to manufacture other chemicals could be exposed to higher levels. Methane in its gas form is an asphyxiant, which in high concentrations may displace a person’s oxygen supply, especially in confined spaces. Decreased oxygen can cause suffocation and loss of consciousness. It can also cause headache, dizziness, weakness, nausea, vomiting and loss of coordination. Skin contact with liquid methane can cause frostbite. These are just a few things to know about methane and potential exposure concerns. Fundamentals of Upstream Oil and Gas

09:23
Oil 101 - A FREE Introduction to the Oil and Gas Industry I this first of 10 modules, we introduce the learner to some key fundamentals of the Upstream segment of the oil and gas industry. The full Oil 101 course includes: +Introduction to Upstream +Introduction to Midstream +Introduction to Downstream +Introduction to Exploration +Introduction to Drilling +Introduction to Production +Introduction to Natural Gas +Introduction to Refining +Introduction to Supply and Trading +Introduction to Petroleum Product Marketing Learn More about Oil 101: http://www.ektinteractive.com/ http://www.ektinteractive.com/oil-101/ So, What is Upstream? Most oil and gas companies’ business structures are organized according to business segment, assets, or function. The upstream segment of oil and gas is also known as exploration and production, or E&P because it encompasses activities related to searching for, recovering, and producing crude oil and natural gas. Upstream is all about wells, where to locate them; how deep and how far to drill them; and how to design, construct, operate and manage them to deliver the greatest possible return on investment with the lightest, safest and smallest operational footprint. In fact, the E&P sector should probably be called the EDP sector - because “you can’t find oil if you don’t drill wells.” Exploration Obtaining the Lease Let’s start with exploration which involves the operator obtaining a lease and permission to drill from the owner of onshore or offshore acreage thought to contain oil or gas. Then the operator must conduct geological and geophysical surveys to select the first well site to explore for, and hopefully find, economic accumulations of oil or gas. This well is often called a “wildcat well.” Drilling is physically creating the “borehole” in the ground that will eventually become a productive oil or gas well. This work is typically done by rig contractors and service companies in the Oilfield Services business sector. On a wellsite, there can be as many as 30-40 different service contractors providing expertise to the operator. Wells can be relatively simple or unbelievably complex. Wells can totally vertical for miles or both deep and horizontal. There are also highly complex “J” and “S” configured wells with numerous branches, or laterals, emanating from the original, or “mother”, hole. These are called “deviated wells.” Production Finally, let’s discuss production, where reserves are “converted to cash” by maximizing the recovery of hydrocarbons from subsurface reservoirs. Essentially, production is efficiently bringing the hydrocarbons to the surface and treating them as needed to make them marketable. So that’s the basics of E&P. We will drill deeper into each of these operations in the complete Oil 101 course at a later date. Now, let’s talk about unconventional resources, clearly the hottest topic in oil and gas over the last decade. Unconventional Future of Oil and Gas Unconventional resources are defined as any resource extracted, or produced, by any method other than the traditional vertical or slightly deviated well. The three main sources of technological breakthroughs that have made unconventional developments profitable include: Horizontal drilling Hydraulic fracturing Subsea engineering (especially deep water production)

Earth Drillers, Except Oil and Gas

01:23
Identifies and describes a career as an Earth Driller. Mining companies use earth drillers for exploration - digging core samples that are then analyzed by geologists and other experts. Another aspect of and Earth Drillers job is to tap subsurface water and salt deposits, dig soil samples for testing, and dig according to specified plans for construction projects. In this profession, one spends long hours in all weather conditions operating a noisy, vibrating piece of drilling machinery. In addition, earth drillers are sometimes required to handle dangerous explosives. In some cases an earth driller can find him or herself underground operating large earth boring machines. For those who enter this career earth drilling skills can be learned in a technical school as well as through on the job training. An earth driller must also know how to maintain the drilling equipment as well as know what drills are appropriate to use for specific job s. If you are interested in a profession as an Earth Driller, check out this career video. Operate a variety of drills such as rotary, churn, and pneumatic to tap sub-surface water and salt deposits, to remove core samples during mineral exploration or soil testing, and to facilitate the use of explosives in mining or construction. May use explosives. Includes horizontal and earth boring machine operators. Learn more at www.CareerOneStop.org

GERMS GUIDE - PREVENT SLIMELUNG & FOOD POISONING - Oyxgen Not Included - Tutorial

29:33
In this germs guide for oxygen not included I review the two diseases in the game: slimelung and food poisoning. I show various ways to get rid of germs and how to cure your dupes should they contract slimelung. This is part of a playlist with many detailed guides: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHw_EJXYsdHiS8zkZKHC43VJPlqeyuCCy Building wash basins or sinks in a 1:1 ratio with your outhouses or lavatories should prevent food poisoning from entering your base. Best to build these in a hallway with only one access point. You can filter the polluted water with a sieve to turn it into clean water (with germs) and germs will naturally fade away in the clean water over time. You can use chlorine gas to remove germs quickly off slime, algae or other materials as well as the ore scrubber. Take your time when digging out slime and make sure you have a place for it to go. You can turn it into algae in the algae distiller or store it in a chlorine gas filled room. Make sure to use deodorizers in polluted oxygen areas to clean up the air. Slimelung multiplies in polluted oxygen but fades away in clean oxygen. If your dupes get sick you can give them a vitamin chew or placebo from the apothecary to help the fight off disease. If they contract slimelung they can recover in the pharma chamber or medical bed with other dupes caring for them. You can use exosuits to avoid getting germs in your base as well.

In the episode of Turmoil (an oil drilling game) I get the hang of using natural gas pockets to boost the oil price. I get all the gas pockets ready, store all the oil, connect to right inc. turn off the rigs and then puncture all the gas pockets and let the price rise rise rise and sell sell sell! I manage to make $63k in the last round. A new personal best. Thank you all for the detailed tips. This is part of a playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12XdQgZ65gQ&list=PLHw_EJXYsdHgBahBAg96l0W83-GkQqfgd Turmoil is an oil drilling game where you explore using dowsers and other methods to find pockets of oil. You then can use rigs and drill down oil pipe to find oil. You can use horses and wagons to store the oil or sell it on the market with fluctuating prices. It's a classic min max game with lots of 19th century western flavor. You compete against 3 other AI players and try to build your fat stacks and access upgrades. Mining Jobs TV is a FREE online TV channel presenting regular episodes where we will discuss mining jobs and tips that will help you to secure a job in the industry. Mining in Australia is a significant primary industry and major contributor to the Australian economy with many different ores and minerals are mined throughout the country. The good news is that the Australian mining industry employees people across a broad range of areas from unskilled labourers to mining engineers. There are also opportunities in administrative, human resources and management positions together with numerous trade related opportunities such as Trades Assistant, Boilermakers, Carpenters, Welders, Electricians and Plumbers. As you are probably aware mining jobs are achievable yet very competitive. It is not unusual for HR Managers to receive 500 or 1000 plus resumes for an advertised vacancy ... so it's most important to ensure you have the resume professionally worded and designed to stand out from your competitors. A talented Resume Writer will be skilled in selling your skills and wording the document in a way that includes all important key words. The developer and geologist (we are talking about oil and gas fields) before beginning the research and planning work you need to make sure that company has license mining allotment boundaries, both vertically and horizontally. This material will also be of interest to lawyers, economists (to predict payments), tax oil and gas companies, because not knowing the law experts on the ground is not an excuse of supervisors. This is very Important as any oil and gas companies are checking the state authorities. Moreover, the violation may not be realized, and it could easily cost people positions, penalties, and M. D. as stipulated by the law. Before you start work must be poluchina license. On the same subsurface area may be issued a license for geological study of subsoil, and another license (another subsurface user) on the extraction of minerals. And may be issued 2 licenses to two different license holders on the same activities - production SW. In order to obtain the bowels, you need to take part in the competition or auction. The applicant proves that it has qualified specialists, availability of Finance, technical AIDS for efficient and safe operation. The subsoil can be divided into Federal and local importance. Federal include recoverable oil reserves of 70 million tons of recoverable gas reserves from 50 billion m3, and the subsoil is of strategic importance, including the bowels of internal sea waters, territorial sea, continental shelf. After obtaining a license, You get the preliminary boundaries of the mining allotment. If in the process of registration or renewal of the license error. They can and should fix. You can correct license errors, typos, grammatical and arithmetical errors. Development of the Deposit is the period calculated on the basis of the feasibility study development, ensuring the rational use and protection of subsoil; Every subsoil user check: Rosprirod supervision, or Rostekhnadzor Mining supervision, state authorities of constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Any subsoil user, shall charge for use of mineral resources. #закон #недра #subsoil #закононедрах #месторождение #горныйотвод #petroleum

Gas EVERYWHERE and RECORD OIL SUPPLY! - Turmoil The Heat is On Gameplay

27:47
Welcome to Turmoil! Turmoil got a new DLC - Turmoil The Heat is On! Join Blitz as he digs deep for oil, mines through rocks, and burns up in the LAVA! ► Watch More Turmoil Heat Is On: http://bit.ly/TurmoilHeat - - - - - Turmoil Heat Is On Game Overview: Turmoil - The Heat Is On is a brand new campaign with tons of oil to dig up and convert into cash! It is designed to make you feel right at home, but at the same time offer lots of new mechanics and fun features. Here's what you can expect! - - - - - Turmoil The Heat Is On Gameplay Features: ►A new town (and mayor!) and a new oil-rich map divided into three areas. ►In each area, new drilling mechanics are introduced, powered by a new underground substance: magma. ►You'll see familiar faces like Edward and Fred and William. They brought their goods with them in train wagons, so you can instantly stock up on all your favorite drilling gear. ►There are also new people, like Philip, who runs a shady card game in the saloon. ►Jack is a new character that runs a magma tools operation from his shed. He likes chicken. ►Anthony is also back from last time. Instead of dealing in diamonds, he has his own store where you can sell and buy all sorts of underground treasures. ►The new mayor is not quite like the old one. His tips are free, and he uses a different auction system. But shares still cost money! ►There's a cat walking around the village! He doesn't do a whole lot, but what can you expect from these creatures? And last but not least: a couple of brand new music tracks! - - - - - Turmoil Heat Is On Evolution: A lot of the content in The Heat Is On is based on learnings from Turmoil. We noticed that not all of the players used natural gas to its full potential. That's why we've lowered the entry level for using gas. From the start, Left and Right Inc. will have built-in gas intake capabilities. No more expensive upgrades needed, high oil prices for everyone! Overall, the exploitation of gas has been made more straightforward. Experienced players should however not be afraid that the game has become less challenging. Playing the drilling game is still all about making smart decisions under time pressure, especially in the final area! The metagame in this new DLC-campaign offers more depth. Instead of diamonds, a total of 9 underground treasures are available. Collecting them all (by trading or digging them up) will offer great benefits. Besides this, the village offers even more things to do, like playing a card game for money. - - - - - Download Turmoil on Steam: http://bit.ly/2pvZcWu - - - - - Q. What is a supported video? A. TURMOIL #8 - Oil Drilling Game - WHERE IS THAT GAS? FIRST DIAMOND! - Plains Biome

48:36
In this episode of Turmoil (an oil drilling game) I have a few mediocre years due to bad timing with the gas plus oil. I was able to buy more stake in the town during the stock auction though. Next episode we'll get into the ice fields. From the developer: Description Turmoil offers players a visually charming, tongue-in-cheek take on the simulation genre inspired by the 19th century oil rush in North America. Get a taste of the rush and rivalry of the time as you earn your way to become a successful oil entrepreneur. As you make money digging up and selling oil, the town will grow along with you. History Turmoil was in a prototype phase for a year before it entered Steam Early Access in June 2015. After spending exactly one year there, Turmoil was released succesfully for PC's in June 2016. In February 2017 Turmoil was also released on iOS, exclusively for iPad. Features A campaign where you build your rags-to-riches oil baron career and beat your rivals. Dozens of upgrades and new tools to improve your oil mining operations. Meet the town’s characters in the saloon and make shady business deals. Play single game mode to get one of literally millions of procedurally generated levels and earn as much as you can in one year. Lease land at the town auction and search for oil using a dowser, mole or scanner. Maximize your profits by using natural gas to boost the oil price. Steam: Achievements, Badges, Trading Cards and Cloud Saving.

Overview of the Sulfur Recovery Industry

04:03
This is the first video in a mini-series that provides an overview of the sulfur recovery process, covering: elemental sulfur, sulfur recovery industry, Claus plant fundamentals, SRU process units/equipment, and SRU intrumentation. What is sulfur? Sulfur is found elementally in minerals, ores, coal, mineral springs, and volcanic regions. It is also found and recovered from natural gas, crude oil, and large underground deposits (mining). Sulfur is present in natural gas primarily as H2S, although there are many other sulfur compounds that may be present, such as mercaptans, sulfides, and disulfides. Liquid Sulfur exists as S8 and exhibits VERY unusual viscosity behavior with increasing temperature: After sulfur melts at 120C, it continues to drop in viscosity until about 150C, where it quickly changes into a viscous gum-like substance. Then, just before it gets to 205C, sulfur will start to slowly decrease in viscosity and continue at that negative trend. • Commercialized sulfur production began in 1894 via the Frasch mining and extraction process. • Today the sulfur industry is an integral part of the world economy, and is a reliable indicator for a country’s industrial activity. • Sulfur is a vital resource used to manufacture a myriad of essential products. • Sulfuric Acid is used in mining, fertilizers & potash, as well as pulp & paper. • The fertilizer industry uses more than half of the sulfur production, converting most of it into sulfuric acid into process agents such as super phosphates, ammonium phosphate and ammonium sulfate. • Newer sulfur products include sulfur extended asphalt, sulfur concrete, and sulfur as a direct soil additive • This table is for Alberta recovery guidelines, where the regulatory body is the Alberta Energy Regulator, or AER. • The U.S. has the Environmental Protection Agency, or EPA, where each state has its own specific regulations in place for the Sulfur Recovery industry • Recovery licenses will dictate a minimum overall recovery efficiency, but they also regulate values for maximum SO2 emissions from the stack. Stack guidelines can be for SO2 tonnage, or concentration. • These licenses are based on the maximum SRU plant inlet, in terms of sulfur tonnage • All Refinery process gas streams that contain H2S are routed to an Amine unit for removal. • Amine units capture H2S (absorber/contactor) and then release it (regenerator/stripper) in the form of an ‘acid gas’ stream containing H2S, CO2 and HC contaminants. • All Refinery ‘sour water’ is routed to a Sour Water Stripper (SWS) to remove of H2S and NH3. • Sour Water Strippers include a regenerator/stripper that removes the H2S and NH3 from solution in the form of an ‘acid gas’ stream containing, approximately , equal parts H2S, NH3, and H2O (and trace contaminants). The HEAT is On! - HUGE NEW Turmoil Update! - Turmoil The Heat is On Gameplay

21:39
A. What is ROCK MECHANICS? What does ROCK MECHANICS mean? ROCK MECHANICS meaning & explanation

01:32
What is ROCK MECHANICS? What does ROCK MECHANICS mean? ROCK MECHANICS meaning - ROCK MECHANICS definition - ROCK MECHANICS explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. Rock mechanics is a theoretical and applied science of the mechanical behavior of rock and rock masses; compared to geology, it is that branch of mechanics concerned with the response of rock and rock masses to the force fields of their physical environment. Rock mechanics forms part of the much broader subject of geomechanics, which is concerned with the mechanical responses of all geological materials, including soils. Rock mechanics, as applied in engineering geology, mining, petroleum, and civil engineering practice, is concerned with the application of the principles of engineering mechanics to the design of the rock structures generated by mining, drilling, reservoir production, or civil construction activity such as tunnels, mining shafts, underground excavations, open pit mines, oil and gas wells, road cuts, waste repositories, and other structures built in or of rock. It also includes the design of reinforcement systems, such as rock bolting patterns.
