Easy Chevron Baby Blanket Pattern Notes: I chose to carry up the yarn when changing colors instead of breaking the yarn and weaving in all those ends. Do whatever works best for you. Final Measurements: 34" x 41" Gauge: Gauge isn't super important with this blanket, but each chevron peak = 5 inches across and 3 inches from top of peak to base line (if a straight line had been drawn from tip to tip). Materials -Yarn: I used 1 skein of Caron One Pound in Forest Green (Color B), 1/2 skein of Caron One Pound in each of Pale Green (Color A) and Soft Sage (Color C). -Size I/5.5 mm Crochet Hook -Stitch Markers -Scissors Abbreviations Ch = Chain Stitch = http://youtu.be/Jwb4jkZDfZs Dc = Double Crochet Stitch = http://youtu.be/afsUMg6wj9c Dc3tog = Double Crochet 3 Together St = Stitch Sc = Single Crochet Stitch = http://youtu.be/L8Z6aT5dac4 Sc2tog = Single Crochet 2 Together = http://youtu.be/14Swe3BNG8Q Sl st = Slip Stitch = http://youtu.be/PzOVw7vaRd0 Instructions Starting With Color A, Ch 178. Attach Color B Repeat Row 2 until blanket is desired length alternating colors every 2 rows. If you are using 3 colors like I did, after the 6th Color B stripe, attach Color C and continue alternating every 2 rows. Bind off and weave in ends. If you are doing the border, you don't have to break the Color B yarn if you are okay with starting where it's located. Border Sc around entire blanket (using Color B). In the peaks and valleys, do the increases (3sc) and decreases (sc2tog). In the corners, do 2 sc sts. Join to 1st sc with a sl st, bind off and weave in end. Soft Crochet Chevron Blanket - Crochet Chevron Blanket in Any Size

47:07
Soft Crochet Chevron Blanket Video Tutorial and Pattern. Easy Level. Written Pattern is in the Show More Section below this video tutorial. By 'soft' I mean that the chevrons are soft, not sharp like you see in other patterns. They are much like a ripple. For a smaller or larger Soft Crochet Chevron Blanket use a multiple of 12 + 3 to create your foundation chain. For example: To make my blanket I am using 6 multiples of 12 + 3 (the extra 3 is for the turning chain.) 12 + 12 + 12 + 12 + 12 + 12 + 3 = 75 chain stitches to start my blanket. 12 stitches will create one chevron (the 'V' shape) as you start working stitches into the foundation chain. The size of the blanket I have made was a small one for demonstration purposes. Soft Crochet Chevron Blanket Written Instructions Design by Paula Daniele. Copyright © Crochet Hooks You. Learn how to make a Chevron, Ripple, Zig Zag Afghan in any size you wish. I used Bernat L'il Tots to demonstrate this technique throughout the video. Free pattern and diagrams are available at http://thecrochetcrowd.com/chevron-afghan/ Learn how to make this beautiful Baby Zig Zag Blanket. It is really simple to follow and I have provided details for you to be successful. In the video tutorial, I have presented a rough note diagram that I used. There is a copy of that diagram if you wish to download it or print it for yourself. I will take you through this in the video tutorial. What I cannot answer for you is how much yarn you will need. If you are customizing your afghan, you will have to make that determination for you. Use any hook size you wish, as long as it compliments the yarn. Use any yarn you wish. I am using Bernat L’il Tots in my demonstrations.

Reversible Crochet Pattern

11:32
Hey everyone! Today I'm showing you how to crochet this simple reversible pattern. It's definitely one of my favorite patterns because you get two different looking projects in one! Some things you can make are blankets, scarves, pot holders, placemats, and lots more. Pattern: Step 1: With color A chain a multiple of 5 + 2-- for this project I chose 25+ 2, so I made a chain of 27 Step 2: sc into the second chain from the hook, *ch 5, sc into the 5th chain from the hook* Repeat directions in ** until you have completed the row-- this will create loops-- my pattern made 5 loops because my multiple of 5 was 25 Step 3: With color B, attach at the first sc made with color A. Ch 4. *2 dc into 3rd chain of top portion of the first loop. Ch 1. 2 dc into the same chain*-- This creates a "shell". Repeat directions in between ** until you have completed the row. 1 triple crochet into color A. Step 4: Flip over work. Fold up color A loops to match with color B shells. Using color A, ch 4. *2 dc into the hole made by both the color A loop and the color B shell. Ch 1. 2 dc into same hole.* Repeat directions between ** until you have completed the row. 1 triple crochet into both color A and color B. Step 5: Using color B, *ch 5. 1 sc into gap between color A and color B*-- this creates one loop. Repeat directions between ** until you have completed the row. Step 6: Flip work over. Using color B, ch 4. Fold up color B loops to match with color A shells. *2 dc into hole made by color B loops and color A shells. Ch 1. 2 dc into same hole*-- this creates one shell. Repeat directions between ** until you have completed the row. 1 triple crochet into both color A and color B. Step 7: Using color A crochet loops all the way across, then crochet shells all the way across. Step 8: Using color B, crochet loops all the way across, then crochet shells all the way across. Step 9: Repeat steps 7 and 8 until you have completed your project. Finish off and weave in ends. Ripples and Waves crochet stitch for crochet baby blankets and more by Crochet for Baby #148

17:00
Update: stitch multiple is 12. New Knitting for Baby channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVMg2qIhzd8RVptDG_L5sQA Hi. My name is Sara welcome to my channel Crochet for Baby. Remember that my channel is bilingual. This means that all my tutorials are always in Spanish and English. In today's tutorial I will show you how to crochet my ripples and waves crochet stitch. It’s fast and easy perfect for crochet scarfs, sweaters, cardigans, dresses, baby blankets, crochet hats and so much more. For the tutorial I used a light #3 baby yarn with a 4.5mm Crochet hook. You can use any type of yarn as long as you use the recommended crochet hook size. The stitch multiple is unknown at this time but just make a chain long enough to make your project. Just be sure to end the same way I show in the video. To make a blanket: With a 4.5mm hook and #3 yarn make 140 chains. If you want it bigger add chains in increments of 10. If you want it smaller take 10 chains off. You will have some chains left so be sure to untie the first stitch and remove the extra chains. I hope you enjoy my channel and if you decide to subscribe, thank you in advance. I also have a new knitting channel. Link is below. A brand new granddaughter is arriving soon, so that means a brand new baby blanket in honor of her.  This crochet project features a series of cross stitches and bobbles, or X's & O's, so that is how this became the Hugs & Kisses Baby Blanket. How to Crochet Ripple Stitch

27:26
In this video you will learn how to make the ripple stitch. This stitch can be made using any size hook and weight yarn. You just need to ensure that the hook is appropriate for the yarn weight. It can be made in a solid colors or you can change colors choosing your favorites. It is also a good way to use up some bigger scraps of yarn. This stitch can work to make scarfs, blankets, throws, etc. It works up very fast and looks very nice. You will need to be able to do a double crochet, chain and double crochet decrease for this tutorial. I hope you enjoy this tutorial. Remember, this coming Sunday 01/12/14 I will be available to meet folks that live in the Anaheim, California area. I will be attending the Crafts and Hobby Association (CHA) mega show at the Anaheim Convention center which is located across the street from Disneyland. This even is NOT open to the public but if you will be attending CHA I would love to meet you. Loom Knit Chevron Stitch in the Ripple and Ridge Afghan pattern

28:46
(Update!) 08/20/2018 I wrote out the loom knit pattern for everyone that expressed trouble with the video not being clear. Click the blog link and scroll down. http://www.goodknitkisses.com/loom-knit-ripple-and-ridge-afghan/ On of my biggest requests has been how to loom knit the chevron stitch. Wait no longer! Learn how to knit the Bernat Ripple and Ridge Knit Blanket from Yarnspirations featuring the new Bernat Beyond yarn! Check it out on the GKK Blog: http://www.goodknitkisses.com/loom-knit-ripple-and-ridge-afghan/ Needle knit pattern and blog LINK HERE https://goo.gl/YOjnGc The pattern falls in the EASY SKILL level for knitting. I cover all stitches, including the increase and decrease, and weaving tails so if this is your first big project you will have all skills needed in this video. If you have never knit a stitch before I do recommend learning the knit and purl with one of my slower videos first. Let’s knit this blanket together! Download your pattern at the blog link above. Remember it is a NEEDLE pattern but I will go through how to convert. It is super easy and all you need to do is print your copy and make a few notes! Yarn Bernat Beyond color Cream (7 balls). Contrast A Bernat Beyond color Slate (4 balls). Contrast B Bernat Beyond color Pumpkin (4 balls). Contrast C *For Lovey size - 1 ball each color. Loom & Supplies • LG Large Gauge loom 5/8" or 11/16" spacing with at least 48 pegs for lovey size or 139 for blanket size (Try CinDwood Looms, Kiss-looms). **You can also use this stitch pattern on any loom size with appropriate weight yarn and even change the color repeats. • scissors, tape measure to check peg spacing • Stitch markers or rubber bands, tapestry needle, loom hook Skill Level Easy Size Approx 50½" x 60" [128.5 x 152.5 cm]. (Baby “Lovey” size 15”x19”) Skills demonstrated in tutorial Double E-Wrap Cast-on Knit Stitch Purl Stitch K2tog - decrease YO - increase Bind off Weaving in ends The blanket begins with a garter border then jumps right into the ripples. The ripples are created with a simple 2 row repeat that includes the K2tog (knit 2 stitches together) increase and the YO (yarnover) decrease. That’s right only two distinct rows to learn! My video tutorial walks you through the entire pattern from start to finish. We’ll spend most of our time focusing on the 2 rows of the ripple pattern to make sure you have a good understanding of the techniques. Once you begin working, the ripples will fall off your loom quickly and you’ll reach the first color change before you know it. Then I’ll show you how to add in a new color so whatever colors you choose your transitions will be smooth. We’ll also discuss and show how to weave in the tails for color changes on a garter stitch and for the ending tail. Lots of tips included! If you need videos on basic stitches (double ewrap cast-on, knit, purl & bind-off) or other techniques, please check out my beginner tutorials on GoodKnit Kisses YouTube Beginner Loom Knit playlist. LINK: https://goo.gl/G6EVXi CAST ON HELP FOR OTHER LOOMS OR SIZES: The stitch pattern is a multiple of 13+9. Here is a running list of cast on numbers. Pick the one best suited for your loom stitch count. If you make one of these please tag me and write the size yours Ripple Afghan measures, yarn and loom you used and how many for the cast on. I will then write a blog with a chart for reference for everyone. (Listed in parenthesis is the number of repeats) CO 22 (1) CO 35 (2) CO 48 (3) CO 61(4) Co 74 (5) CO 87 (6) CO 100 (7) CO 113 (8) CO 126 (9) CO 139 *(10)* CO 152 (11) CO 165 (12) So you will have 2 pattern repeats at 35 stitches. Come loom along with me! Happy Crafting!! Kristen at GoodKnit Kisses This blog & Video is a Sponsored Post and may contain affiliate links.

Crochet Baby Blanket

18:21
The Crochet Baby Squared Blanket is a different variation of the Modern Granny Squares are that are so popular. The baby blankets have a combination of 2 rounds of being straight granny square concept and then the next round is the sc, ch 3, sc jumps. It really does a terrific job of separating out colours from each other with the single crochet rounds. You can use the concept and do even more rounds of straight granny square stitches and then throw in a single crochet round when you are ready to jump colours. Crochet Wave - Breaking Waves Stitch

26:37
Updated Pattern: Starting Chain is 207. Multiples are 17+ 3. Video shows a different number which is incorrect. PDF is updated with new information. Introducing the Crochet Breaking Waves Afghan designed by Mikey of The Crochet Crowd aka me. Inspired by the breaking waves of water on a coastal edge and looking to Caron Big Cakes, Blue Macaroon, I developed a textured look wave afghan. The crashing of the waves appear using front and back posts in 1 row every 4th row. Stabilized by the other 3 rows. The colour changes naturally coming out of the yarn ball give the afghan a look of gradation like you are painting the surface of the water onto the afghan. The yarn multiple is in 19. So you can change the size of the afghan if you wish by just changing the number of sets of 19. There are 11 sets of 19 in my sample. Seriously though, the sample didn't take long to make and I enjoyed making it too! The changes of the colour make it more interesting to crochet along. Written pattern is available at http://thecrochetcrowd.com/crochet-breaking-waves-afghan/

Feather and fans crochet stitch for baby blankets and more #140

20:03
Welcome to my channel Crochet for Baby. In today's tutorial I will show you how to crochet this feather and fan crochet stitch. It’s fast, easy and you can make just about anything with this stitch like crochet scarfs, sweaters, baby blankets, crochet hats and so much more. For the tutorial I used a light #3 baby yarn with a 4.5mm Crochet hook. You can use any type of yarn as long as you use the recommended crochet hook size. The stitch multiple is 19+4. To make a crochet baby blanket with this stitch: With a #3 baby yarn use a 4mm or 4.5mm crochet hook and make 194 chains since the stitch multiple is 19+4. This will give you 10 fans. If you want it bigger with more fans then add chains in increments of 19. If you want it smaller take off chains in increments of 19. If you use #4 yarn with a 5.5mm or 6.5mm chain 156. This will give you 8 fans. If it’s too big then remove chains in increments of 8 chains. If you want it bigger then add chains in increments of 19. Depending on the yarn and hook size you use, you will need between 450-600 grams of yarn. Crochet Baby Blanket

11:01
Well time is short and you need a baby blanket, give this one a try. The Bernat Blanket Stripes yarn makes this project even easier as you don't have to stop and change colors, yet it produces a fabulous blanket. Of course, if you prefer to choose you own colors, there are many shades of regular Bernat Blanket yarn that will work just at well. I used just 2 balls and 3 hours one evening to crochet this quick and easy blanket. It's finished size is 29" x 34", just enough to cover a baby or use as a comfy mat for baby to lay on. It's so lush and soft, just perfect for a baby's soft skin. Get the free pattern at: http://thecrochetcrowd.com/crochet-quick-easy-baby-blanket-tutorial/

Crystal Waves crochet stitch for fast and easy baby blankets #89

07:03
Here’s the link for a slower version https://youtu.be/omVO78plGuM Here is the link for the border: https://youtu.be/hdx5vnFuKmg Here’s the link for How to crochet the last row for stitch #89 https://youtu.be/I27ZxH-pqtc Welcome to my channel Crochet for Baby. In today's tutorial I will show you how to do this fast and easy beginners crochet shells stitch that is ideal for baby blankets, baby sweaters, baby booties, baby beanies, baby hats, baby dress, and so much more. This crochet stitch is named Crystal Waves Crochet Stitch after the dear friend that taught me how to make it. Her great grandmother taught her and apparently was an old stitch. I’m not the original designer of this stitch nor was she. If anyone knows who the original designer is of this beautiful stitch, please let me know to give proper credit. Thank you 😊 ❤️. For my blanket I used Bernat softee #3 baby yarn with a 4.5mm Crochet hook. I used about 4 skeins of yarn which was about 560 grams. I made 136 chains and continued for a total of 42 rows. It measures approximately 30.5in long x 29.5in wide without the border. Border measures 1.5 in. Hope this helps for those of you that are making this blanket. After my last row I chained 3 +4 chains so 7 chains total. The first 3 chains counts as 1 dc. Then I did one sc on the 3rd dc of the first fan (the last dc b4 the ch-3). Chain 4 and then again 1 sc on the 3 dc of the next fan. Continue like this until the end. At the end finish with one dc on last stitch. Once you do this you can easily work your single crochets all around for your border. Here’s the link on how to do this https://youtu.be/I27ZxH-pqtc For the tutorial, I 'm using a baby weight yarn as well with a 4.5mm crochet hook. The stitch multiple is 4. If this is your first time here, I've been doing crochet tutorials in Spanish for a couple of months now and have been asked by a lot of my subscribers to do tutorials in English too. #Crochet this fun zig zag pattern, it is sure to become a favorite. This pattern can be worked with single crochet or double crochet. Make your beginning chain as wide as you want your piece just be sure that your final chain count is an even number, then add the additional chains called for in the instructions. This is a great way to use up your yarn scraps as you can change colors on every row. I chose to use 3 colors, pink, white and grey. You can use shades of blue for a boys blanket or all in one solid color to match your decor. I used Lion Brand Yarn, Vanna's Choice in: Pink, Silver Heather and White I hope you enjoy this tutorial. I used Loops and Threads - yarn (sold at Michaels). Bernat Sofftee Chunky is very similar! any other thicker size 5 or 6 yarn with slight texture will give you a similar result. I linked the Bernat, so you can see what it looks like. -Size Q or 16 mm crochet hook. Also known as a speed hook. -smaller crochet hook for weaving in ends -scissors for triming Q hook, 16mm http://amzn.to/1LadvDV Bernat Sofftee Yarn (very similar to loops and threads) http://bit.ly/1vFSAj5 Instructions 1. Take 2 strands at the same time and make a slip knot. Tighten around the hook. 2. Chain 70 chains... or 50 inches with very little tension. 3. hdc in 3rd chain from hook and repeat in each chain all the way down, use very little tension at this point, it will help you down the line. 4. Ch 2 and turn. 5. hdc in 2nd stitch over from edge of the blanket and continue in each stitch. Be sure to get the hdc in that last turning chain stitch. 6. Ch 2 and turn 7.Repeat until you run out of that color yarn. -When you run out of yarn, I did not run out at the same time. Tie the 2 ends (the yarn you are using and the new yarn) and continue. Don't forget to weave in all the little ends later. When you run out of the next skein of yarn, attache the next skein. This way the tails to be weaved in will be staggered and unnoticeable. 8. When you finish a row of color 1 and don't have enough to complete another row, add your new color when you make your last hdc. WHen you have the 3 loops on your hook for that last stitch, add the 2 strands on your hook and pull through. Tighten everything up, chain 2 and turn continuing on like we have been. 9. Continue adding skeins of yarn and change to your 3rd color and crochet until you can fully complete a row and cannot complete another. 10. Weave in all the ends very well. Who saw the kitty bloopers at the end? Write bad kitty in the comments if you did and made it to the end of reading this... that way I will know that you ROCK! *This contains affiliate links. Simple Blanket Pattern for Beginners

13:10
Hey everyone! Thank you so much for 600 subscribers! Also, sorry for the delay on this video. I recently adopted a dog, so a large portion of my time has been spent taking care of him and getting him adjusted to my house. Anyways, today I'm showing you how to crochet a simple blanket that is great for beginners starting out with crocheting. It mainly uses the chain and double crochet, as well as the slip stitch. With this pattern you can use as many accent colors as you want in any pattern to create your own unique blanket. For example, Halloween is coming up so you could make a blanket with a black base and accent colors of different shades of orange and purple. It's a great pattern with lots of versatility! Also, feel free to leave any comments or questions you have in the comments section below! Pattern: Pick a width of chains that you want for your project, then add 3- this is the base chain. Chain that amount- I chained 18 for my sample. Row 1: 1 dc in 4th chain from hook. 1 dc in each chain all the way across. Row 2: Flip over work. Ch 3. 1 dc in 2nd dc from hook. 1 dc in each dc across. Repeat Row 2 until you have the desired length of your project. *Crochet a chain that is the width of your project- base chain minus 3. Slip stitch to 1st dc of 1st row. Ch 1 and cut. Put the string at the end of the chain into the opening of your sewing needle. Weave it under and over the chains in the row.* Repeat directions in between ** with different accent colors. Finish off and weave in ends.
