CRKT Cord Wrapped THUNDER STRIKE Fixed Neck Knife
Views: 603 Brian O'Keeffe
This little knife is really no more than a light duty knife that I would really compare to a pocket knife as far as usefulness goes. With a thin tip, i would not attempt much prying or striking. I have used it for cutting plastic such as power steering bottles etc. I like the neck carry as a novelty, but as a general rule I dont like to carry much in my pockets or around my neck, so this knife would fit better if you are used to wearing a necklace or what ever. I bought the knife for two reasons, its unique design is a nice add to the collection, and for review purposes for the channel.

CRKT Skinner Ken Onion Fixed Blade Knife Overview
Click here to buy this knife: http://www.bladehq.com/item--CRKT-Skinner-Ken-Onion-Fixed-Blade--8168?utm_source=DBAnnCard&utm_medium=CRKT%20Skinner%20Ken%20Onion%20Fixed%20Blade%20Knife&utm_campaign=Overview Video provided by CRKT. Video by Andrew Gene of the Edge Observer. Hawaiian knifemaker Ken Onion has been working on the ultimate hunting knife, for over five years. Ken has concluded an extensive field testing program, making dozens of custom skinners and giving them to Alaskan guides, professional hunters, and taxidermists in exchange for their feedback. He kept modifying the design and sending out more knives, which have now been used to skin over 60 Alaskan bears, and have been proven on deer, elk, moose, antelope, hogs, sheep and cattle. While some were skeptical at first, it has become the favorite knife of many of the top guides. It also works well for skinning, gutting, deboning, the fine detail cuts preferred by taxidermists, and even kitchen and camp chores. We call it simply the Onion Skinner. It features a three-quarter tang Bohler K110 stainless steel blade, high hollow-ground and polished to a satin finish, with a hardness of HRC 58-60. The scales are Twin-Fused™ with a Zytel core and soft textured TPR outside for grip. A lanyard is included. The custom leather sheath is molded and fitted to grip the scales and lock the knife in position until needed. It can be worn left or right, inside or outside the belt. Here's an explanation of its unusual features and their functions: First, the knife has a thin tip, with a slightly convex grind near the tip that minimizes drag. No caping knife is needed for detail work. Second, the top of the blade has a pronounced "camel hump". This allows the hunter to insert the tip under the skin and rock the hand back, which raises the tip up and away from the paunch. Third, the tip has a straight section at an offset angle. This makes the knife a useful utility and cooking tool around camp. Fourth, is the short 3.75" blade length. This is just the length of the average finger, which has proven perfect for the pencil grip favored by many hunters. Finally, the Onion Skinner features a handle which has a deep finger choil, which greatly improves grip in slippery conditions. The thin cross section allows for less obtrusive carry while still locking in the fitted sheath. So here is Ken's ultimate skinner. Field-tested for five years, and finally ready for production and your own field test. Specifications: Overall Length: 8" (203 mm) Blade Length: 3.75" (95 mm) Blade Thickness: 0.142" (3.6 mm) Blade Steel: Bohler K110, 58-60 HRC Weight: 3.7 oz. A compact fixed blade neck knife with a Wharncliffe-style blade and tough G10 handle, it feels equally at home in the woods or around the house. The S.P.E.W.™ (Small Pocket Everyday Wharncliffe) is designed by Alan Folts of Melbourne, FL. A designer and dedicated custom knife instructor with over 20 years’ experience, he cares deeply about helping folks learn about knives as tools, and passing along the skills of custom knife making to others. This svelt dynamo packs a lot into its compact fixed blade knife design. A plain edge Wharncliffe-style blade rips through a variety of cutting tasks better than most knives of comparable size. You owe it to yourself to see how something so compact can come up so big with such great control. Let your first two fingers take hold of the G10 handle. Wrap the last two around the cord fob for extra grip. Then see where you can go with it from there. You’ll find it’s tough to argue against the value of having a knife along with you, especially one as versatile and comfortable as the S.P.E.W.™ It’s slim in design only, not features. The S.P.E.W.™ comes with a versatile carry sheath. Not that you’ll be keeping it in there for long. Take it with you for when you might need it most—all of the time.

CRKT neck knife with kydex sheath n paracord
This is just a cool awesome very sharp neck knife. As you can see I carry mine on my AR chest rig shoulder strap in the upside down mode for quick emergency draw. The Triumph N.E.C.K.™ (No-nonsense Emergency Compact Knife) for just those occasions where you need a quick very sharp and lightweight knife. It's got full-tang skeletonized design, with recurved dual-grind Tanto to aid cutting and a false top edge grind for penetrating power. This blade knife has a non-reflective black EDP coating, cord-wrapped handle, a custom Kydex sheath and belt clip and a harness. The olive drab nylon paracord wrap gives excellent feel and grip. The custom Kydex sheath features a quick-release belt-mounting system. The basic sheath has detents which grip the knife securely for inverted carry as a neck knife with a chain (my did not come with a chain). The belt clip can be attached with the Chicago screws provided for vertical or horizontal carry. Simply press in the injection-molded nylon retaining clip for instant attachment or release. The Biotac 6 position harness is a length of mil-spec paracord, gutted so it is flat. Soft rubber keepers allow adjustment of the harness even when wearing it. Users just tie the cord through the eyelets of the Triumph N.E.C.K. sheath and slip the harness over their shoulders for comfort and concealability under uniforms, tactical vests or even T-shirts. Drawing from the harness is lightning quick with either a cross draw to the forward grip, or a same-side draw to a reverse grip. You can wrap it around your waist like a belt carry, around your neck on to your chest low or high level, around your neck next to your back, mid back or lower on your back, across your neck sliding it under your armpit concealed carry. This is a very versatile sling system for carrying your knife. Easily adjustable and a breeze to make. I'm sure there are more ways you could configure this but here are a few that I've figured out. I would recommend this for anyone who carries a larger knife for the woods!
