The three primary places you can exchange your home currency for Japanese Yen are (1) local banks, (2) airport currency exchanges, (3) Japanese ATMs. There are other methods, such as automated machines at the airport, but this is really just an extension of the above options. There are pros and cons no matter what you choose, so you might find that a combination of them is the best solution.

How to read a currency quote http://www.financial-spread-betting.com/forex/forex-trading.html PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE THIS VIDEO SO WE CAN DO MORE! Let's look at some examples; EUR/USD - 1.32 - the currency on the left hand side is called the base currency. When trading a currency you are always trading one currency against another i.e. you trade them in pairs in relation to each other. For one EUR how many US Dollars do I get - and the answer to that is 1.32 USD/JPY - 102.5 For 1 USD you get back 102.5 Japanese Yen. GBP/USD - 1.58 For 1 Pound Sterling I get back 1.58 US $ EUR/USD 1.32 - 1.33 USD/JPY - 102.5 - 102.6 GBP/USD - 1.58 - 1.59 Let's say we go long GBP/USD - what we are doing is going long GBP, short USD i.e. buying Pound and selling Dollar. When we see a broker with a currency quote we will see two quotes say GBP/USD: 1.58 - 1.59. If we want to buy this we would need to buy at the ask of 1.59

Trading the USD/JPY Currency Pair http://www.financial-spread-betting.com/forex/spread-betting-usd-jpy.html PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE THIS VIDEO SO WE CAN DO MORE! How To Trade USD/JPY | Forex Trading Tips USD/JPY, also known as the Gopher, Beginner’s Guide for Trading USDJPY moves based on the relationship between the United States and Asian economies; Currencies are also subject to central bank’s interventions. For instance, if the Federal Reserve decides to expand its quantitative easing programmes, this will drive shares and gold higher while the USA dollar might depreciate against the yen. In particular the dollar/yen cross is has been getting more interest from traders as speculators attempt to second guess what the Bank of Japan will do to contain the rise of its currency. The Yen has the risks of central bank intervention or a substantial change in policy stance, similar to the effect that the Swiss National Bank (SNB) has had on EUR/CHF. The [Japanese] government is not comfortable with its national currency appreciating. Yen’s appreciation in the past has caused ministers headaches because of the threat to the country’s export-reliant economy. It means that if the JPY reaches a pre-drawn ‘line in the sand’, we would not rule out government intervention with the consequence of the Yen falling. The Japanese authorities have intervened repeatedly in the past to limit currency strength and recently they have adopted policies targeting at depreciating the value of the yen.

While much has been written to determine the impact of uncertainty stemming from foreign exchange rate volatility on financial market development, a clear consensus among economists has yet to emerge. However, understanding the complexities of this relationship is key to fostering financial market development. It can also reveal the importance of regional and international capital markets on a given economy. This link is particularly important now in the Korean context, given the recent decline of the Korean won against the U.S. dollar, the importance of foreign investment in the domestic stock market, and efforts to strengthen regional financial integration. KEI welcomes you to join us for a presentation by economist Dr. Rajarshi Mitra to examine the relationship between the exchange rate of the won and stock market returns in Korea and Japan, including a discussion of the policy implications for Korea.

FOREX market is a place where investors trade currencies such as Euro, Japanese Yen, Australian dollars etc. So what is FOREX? How can this investment last for so many years? And why do some people even lose their entire life savings through investing FOREX? First of all, we should understand what is currency trading which refers to the usage of a national currency in exchange of the currency of another country. The size of exchange will be in accordance with both exchange rates, the case is same as when we travel. Here is an example: Francis wants to travel to Europe. If the Euro appreciate or depreciate, this can affect Francis’ cost for the trip. When Euro appreciate to 1EUR : 1.5USD, $2000 USD can exchange for €1333. When Euro depreciate to 1EUR : 1USD, then $2000 USD can exchange for €2000. Thus, the more the Euro depreciates, the cheaper the trip to Europe will be. The 2016 British referendum resulted in Brexit. British Pound (GBP) has depreciated against all major currencies. Buying watches and bags in UK becomes much cheaper. In general, most currencies are priced against USD. For example, the Euros strength is priced against the USD (EURUSD). This is considered as “regular currency pair”. If the currency is not converted to US Dollars, such as the Canadian dollar against the Japan Yen (CADJPY), it is called “currency cross pair”. We can take profit from both bullish and bearish currencies. Say for example, Francis predicts the trend of Euro against Canadian dollar is going up, so she can buy or we say long EURCAD. If she is bullish of Canadian dollar over the Euros, then she can short EURCAD The main direction of foreign exchange movements is dominated by the fundamental analysis. The technical analysis affects the short-term impact on foreign exchange. Every national publication of economic data and policies, such as raising or cutting interest rates, monetary policy etc. will affect the foreign exchange rate and its trend There are four benefits of investing in foreign exchange First, there are lots of tools given to choose when we want to trade forex. They are cash, currency ETF, leveraged foreign exchange and futures. Second, the foreign exchange market has been hailed as no bulls and bears because forex is relatives. One goes up, another one will go down. Third, Forex market operates in twenty-four hours during the weekdays. The time of investment is flexible Fourth, forex is the largest market in the world. It has the most liquidity among the trading markets. That’s why almost no monopoly pricing occurs, and almost all foreign currencies are aligned with the economic data. Investors theoretically will not lose for no reasons Theses are the advantages of foreign exchange. There are also different kinds of currencies such as carry trade currencies, hedging currencies and commodity currencies. So what are they? Example 1, Francis is a professional investor. She looks for a country which offers a low interest rate for loans. She will then borrow that country’s currency and invest in some assets with higher rate of return such as stocks. However, when there are uncertainties or worries in the market, investments become dangerous. Francis will temporarily return the borrowed Yen. The Yen will then be stronger. When the market has been led to this situation by the negative atmosphere, we call it unwinding, and this kind of low interest currency is called carry trade currency. Example 2, when there are some uncertainties or events happening around the world such as 911, European debt crisis, Brexit etc. Apart from buying Japanese Yen, Francis would also transfer money to countries with economical stability. Swiss Francs is one of the examples. As Swiss is a neutral country which does not involve in the political and economic problems over the world, theoretically they have a lesser chance of facing a large fluctuation. Therefore, it makes Swiss a place to hedge other market risks Example 3, Francis also likes to invest in some commodity currencies, which means the nation of the currency export abundance of commodities. For example, Canada’s oil exports: the export of gold and copper in Australia, agricultural product exports in New Zealand. Such country’s currencies are closely related to the commodities. Their trends with commodities are usually higher correlated. When some economic data or commodity price brings an investing opportunity, Francis will invest in commodity currencies like Canadian, Australian or New Zealand dollars. When all of you understand the benefits and the usage of investing tools of foreign exchange, it is possible to design appropriate strategies for your portfolios. =============================== YouTube: https://youtube.com/channel/UCc33m48vLcYXxgfnwtytK-g Facebook: https://facebook.com/161384107682138

What are the top 8 cryptocurrency exchanges for buying and selling fiat currencies like USD, EUR, CAD, GBP, KRW, JPY, RUB, and CNH into Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, and hundreds more altcoins with Bittrex and Poloniex? Will you watch this video or read this description to find out? My favorite exchange is Coinbase which I have used to buy and sell hundreds of thousands of US Dollars in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. If you would like to sign up for Coinbase, would you use my link at https://www.coinbase.com/join/53f220834b1a7fd652000013 because Coinbase will give you and me $10 each in Bitcoin for the referral? Bitstamp at https://www.bitstamp.net might be the best global option if you can make a deposit with SEPA in the EU or a wire transfer in nearly any other country because Bitstamp's help at https://www.bitstamp.net/account/deposit/ states "REST OF THE WORLD. International bank transfer deposits carry 0.05% deposit fee on our side (minimum fee = 7.50 USD/EUR) and take 2 - 5 business days to credit. USD deposits credited to your USD balance won't be converted. All other currencies will be converted to the selected balance currency, free of charge." Ripple as XRP and Bitcoin as BTC are both available to trade with fiat currencies on Bitstamp. Credit cards can also be used to make purchases on Bitstamp with fees ranging from 5% to 8% as listed at https://www.bitstamp.net/fee_schedule/. Kraken at https://www.kraken.com has the greatest current selection I have found for an exchange which accepts incoming fiat deposits while trading with the most altcoins. Kraken accepts EUR SEPA deposits, USD, GBP, EUR, and JPY wire deposits as well as witdrawals. For Canadian dollars, wire deposits are free and EFT withdrawals are $10 with a $25,000 daily max. In addition to Bitcoin, Kraken allows USD with EUR and a few CAD or JPY directly to Ethereum, Ripple, Ethereum Classic, Litecoin, Dash, Monero, Zcash, USDT, Gnosis, and Stellar Lumens with Iconomi available from ETH and XBT which is Bitcoin. GDAX operates in the US, Europe, UK, Canada, Australia, and Singapore at https://www.gdax.com/ trading in BTC/USD, ETH/USD, ETH/BTC, LTC/USD, LTC/BTC, BTC/EUR, and BTC/GBP. Gemini at https://gemini.com is available in Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, United Kingdom, and the United States of America in 44 states with BTC/USD, ETH/BTC, and ETH/USD available for all via US Dollar wire transfers. xBTCe at https://www.xbtce.com accepts wire transfers from many countries including the USA, China, and Russia with native language support in English, Russian, and Chinese. Wall of Coins at https://wallofcoins.com/en/ is available in the USA, Canada, and more countries soon for direct cash deposits via local bank accounts in Bitcoin and Dash. Local Bitcoins at https://localbitcoins.com/ allows buyers and sellers in 248 countries to make cash and online transactions directly for Bitcoin with generally 10% or higher above marketplace costs. In summary, I think Coinbase, Bitstamp, and Kraken are three of the best places online to use USD, EUR, CAD, and GBP to buy directly into Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, Dash, and more altcoins. GDAX, Gemini, and xBTCe are great alternatives especially for KRW, JPY, RUB, and CNH. Wall of Coins and Local Bitcoins are effective for changing cash to Bitcoin to then use on an exchange like Bittrex or Poloniex. What is EXCHANGE RATE? What does EXCHANGE RATE mean? EXCHANGE RATE meaning - EXCHANGE RATE definition - EXCHANGE RATE explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. In finance, an exchange rate (also known as a foreign-exchange rate, forex rate, FX rate or Agio) between two currencies is the rate at which one currency will be exchanged for another. It is also regarded as the value of one country’s currency in terms of another currency. For example, an interbank exchange rate of 119 Japanese yen (JPY, Y) to the United States dollar (US$) means that Y119 will be exchanged for each US$1 or that US$1 will be exchanged for each Y119. In this case it is said that the price of a dollar in terms of yen is Y119, or equivalently that the price of a yen in terms of dollars is $1/119. Exchange rates are determined in the foreign exchange market, which is open to a wide range of different types of buyers and sellers, and where currency trading is continuous: 24 hours a day except weekends, i.e. trading from 20:15 GMT on Sunday until 22:00 GMT Friday. The spot exchange rate refers to the current exchange rate. The forward exchange rate refers to an exchange rate that is quoted and traded today but for delivery and payment on a specific future date. In the retail currency exchange market, different buying and selling rates will be quoted by money dealers. Most trades are to or from the local currency. The buying rate is the rate at which money dealers will buy foreign currency, and the selling rate is the rate at which they will sell that currency. The quoted rates will incorporate an allowance for a dealer's margin (or profit) in trading, or else the margin may be recovered in the form of a commission or in some other way. Different rates may also be quoted for cash (usually notes only), a documentary form (such as traveler's cheques) or electronically (such as a credit card purchase). The higher rate on documentary transactions has been justified as compensating for the additional time and cost of clearing the document. On the other hand, cash is available for resale immediately, but brings security, storage, and transportation costs, and the cost of tying up capital in a stock of banknotes (bills).

Where can I get money in Japan? it is a common concern with travelers to Japan since not all Bank machines take foreign bank cards. Convenience stores in Japan are rather important for tourists. They have a wide variety of hot and cold Food, small items a traveler might need, drinks, buns, breakfast, lunch, midnight snack... individually wrapped soft boiled eggs... But the most important part of convenience stores in Japan for tourists is that they have ATM machines that accept foreign cards and foreigners cam get money out. Japan is a cash based society and not all banks accept foreign bank cards so if you need cash don't go to a bank. Go to 7-11 or Lawsons. They will be able to help. 20 pip GBPJPY Scalping Strategy. http://www.financial-spread-betting.com/course/technical-analysis.html PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE THIS VIDEO SO WE CAN DO MORE This is a day trading strategy involving scalping the Pound/Yen / 5 minute chart. What are the rules? The first rule is that you need a decent sloping 25 period exponential moving average - the angle must be at least 30 degrees. The other criteria is that you have a bullish pinbar to signal the change in sentiment in that 5 minute period. So if you get that bar above that 25 period ema and with the angle - you go long above it with a 20 pip target and a 10 pip stop. Very neat setup and very systematic but of course you are not going to win all of them. There is the other criteria that you only trade during the London and New York Sessions; perhaps that is a liquidity issue. 1 Hour Trading Strategy In Forex With USDJPY - Asian Session. http://www.financial-spread-betting.com/course/technical-analysis.html PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE THIS VIDEO SO WE CAN DO MORE USD/JPY 1 Hour Breakout Strategy. Let's look at the 1 hour trading setup where we look for a breakout. The advantage of this strategy is that we only need to look at one forex pair, one timeframe and a particular hour of the day. USD/JPY 1 Hour Breakout Strategy. We are looking at the first hour of the Asian session and we are going to bracket the high and low of that initial hour. So we are going to put a stop entry long a couple of pips above the high and a stop entry short a couple of pips below the low. The idea is that once we have that initial hour of trade, we have the high or low; we are going to enter on the subsequent break of that high or of that low and our stop is going to be the [high minus the low]. What you don't want is to be caught in by touching the high - you want it to break thru. This strategy will not work all the time every time.

What is FOREIGN EXCHANGE HEDGE? What does FOREIGN EXCHANGE HEDGE mean? FOREIGN EXCHANGE HEDGE definition - FOREIGN EXCHANGE HEDGE meaning - FOREIGN EXCHANGE HEDGE explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. A foreign exchange hedge (also called a FOREX hedge) is a method used by companies to eliminate or "hedge" their foreign exchange risk resulting from transactions in foreign currencies (see foreign exchange derivative). This is done using either the cash flow hedge or the fair value method. The accounting rules for this are addressed by both the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and by the US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) as well as other national accounting standards. A foreign exchange hedge transfers the foreign exchange risk from the trading or investing company to a business that carries the risk, such as a bank. There is cost to the company for setting up a hedge. By setting up a hedge, the company also forgoes any profit if the movement in the exchange rate would be favourable to it. When companies conduct business across borders, they must deal in foreign currencies. Companies must exchange foreign currencies for home currencies when dealing with receivables, and vice versa for payables. This is done at the current exchange rate between the two countries. Foreign exchange risk is the risk that the exchange rate will change unfavorably before payment is made or received in the currency . For example, if a United States company doing business in Japan is compensated in yen, that company has risk associated with fluctuations in the value of the yen versus the United States dollar. A hedge is a type of derivative, or a financial instrument, that derives its value from an underlying asset. Hedging is a way for a company to minimize or eliminate foreign exchange risk. Two common hedges are forward contracts and options. A forward contract will lock in an exchange rate today at which the currency transaction will occur at the future date. An option sets an exchange rate at which the company may choose to exchange currencies. If the current exchange rate is more favorable, then the company will not exercise this option. The main difference between the hedge methods is who derives the benefit of a favourable movement in the exchange rate. With a forward contract the other party derives the benefit, while with an option the company retains the benefit by choosing not to exercise the option if the exchange rate moves in its favour. Guidelines for accounting for financial derivatives are given under IFRS 7. Under this standard, “an entity shall group financial instruments into classes that are appropriate to the nature of the information disclosed and that take into account the characteristics of those financial instruments. An entity shall provide sufficient information to permit reconciliation to the line items presented in the balance sheet”. Derivatives should be grouped together on the balance sheet and valuation information should be disclosed in the footnotes. This seems fairly straightforward, but IASB has issued two standards to help further explain this procedure. The International Accounting Standards IAS 32 and 39 help to give further direction for the proper accounting of derivative financial instruments. IAS 32 defines a “financial instrument” as “any contract that gives rise to a financial asset of one entity and a financial liability or equity instrument of another entity”. Therefore, a forward contract or option would create a financial asset for one entity and a financial liability for another. The entity required to pay the contract holds a liability, while the entity receiving the contract payment holds an asset.

The US dollar continues to see bullish pressure against the Japanese yen, and rose on Monday yet again. It looks as if the market is going to try to grind its way towards the 120 handle, as the Federal Reserve looks likely to raise interest rates, and at the very least raise the longer for the Bank of Japan well. I think the 115 level is supportive, and essentially acting as a “floor” now, and that pullbacks will represent short-term buying opportunities repeatedly as we grinder way to the upside. We are a bit “long in the tooth” when it comes to the trend, so explosive moves are probably not going to be seen anytime soon in this market. With this being the case, I have no interest in selling. The USD/JPY pair gapped lower at the open on Monday, but I believe that we are currently consolidating overall, and I believe that the bottom of the consolidation is closer to the 111.50 level. I believe that the 115 level above is massively resistive, and a break above there census market looking for the 118.50 level, which I believe happens given enough time. Short-term pullbacks are buying opportunities, but you should deal with quite a bit of volatility obviously. The Federal Reserve is likely to raise interest rate several times this year, while the Bank of Japan is light years away from going in that direction. The US dollar had a volatile session against the Japanese yen during the trading session on Tuesday, and ended up forming a neutral candle. I think that the market is waiting for the Federal Reserve and its attitude during the trading session today, as we get an interest rate announcement, and more importantly: a statement afterwards. The statement gives us an idea as to whether the central bank is going to be hawkish or dovish, and that will greatly influence where the US dollar goes next. If the statement is more hawkish, that should send the US dollar towards the 114.50 level above. That begins a massive amount of resistance to the 115 handle, which breaking through would be very bullish. Otherwise, we could pull back to the 112 level on a dovish statement. for more analysis: http://www.dailyforex.com

The forex market is the market in which participants can buy, sell, exchange, and speculate on currencies. The forex market is made up of banks, commercial companies, central banks, investment management firms, hedge funds, and retail forex brokers and investors. The currency market is considered to be the largest financial market with over $5 trillion in daily transactions, which is more than the futures and equity markets combined. The main participants in this market are the larger international banks. Financial centers around the world function as anchors of trading between a wide range of multiple types of buyers and sellers around the clock, with the exception of weekends. Since currencies are always traded in pairs, the foreign exchange market does not set a currency's absolute value but rather determines its relative value by setting the market price of one currency if paid for with another. The USD/JPY pair had a choppy session on Friday, as we approached the 115 handle. That’s an area that will more than likely continue to be resistive, and if we can break above there I think that the market can continue to go much higher. Pullbacks will more than likely find buyers below, but I believe that the overriding pressure is to the upside, and once we do breakout I think that the 118.50 level will be targeted next. The 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level underneath has held up as support, and I believe will continue to be supportive in the future. The Federal Reserve looks likely to raise interest rate a couple of times this year, so I believe that the market continues to reward the US dollar.
